It is estimated that in 2008 about 182,460 new cases of invasive breast cancer will be diagnosed among women in the United States. Unfortunately, this also means that most of us have been touched in one way or another by this disease.
June 8th, 2006, the world lost one of the most amazing women I have had the privilege of knowing. My aunt, Joan Kilfoyle, passed away after a long fight with breast cancer. It is always difficult, losing a loved one, and obviously not easy in this case either. She was a beautiful, caring woman, and I hope that through her memory we can help others who have gone through or are going through what my family has. I was truly touched when Shawna Clingerman & Dani Mogstad agreed to put together this charity kit with me. They donated their time, and amazing talent towards a beautiful cause, that I know touches so many of our hearts. With your help, we can offer hope to countless women as proceeds from this kit will be donated to the Susan G Komen foundation.
