Awww, thank you, ladies!!! Today was definitely a good day.
Jay and I went out to dinner with his parents at The Melting Pot- LOVE that place! Jay gave me a new 50mm 1.4 lens...I can't wait to play with it at my sister's baby shower this weekend! And his parents totally surprised me with....of all things...a SEWING machine. I "just" picked up Donna Downey's Fabric Scrapbooking book and have been making an Amy Butler fabric patchwork quilt (with Jay's mom's help) for my sister, so they got me my very own! I'm such a newbie, but with some serious help from my MIL I may be able to take it off a straight stitch before the end of the year. LOL
AND. Best news of the day- Jay was offered one seriously kick-butt job (he was laid off a few weeks ago, along with basically his entire office) and I am SO SO proud of him and grateful to have such a special person in my life. This is going to be a good year, I just know it. It's the first of many 29th birthdays!
