please check in. I know we got hit hard last night.. Shawna, are you guys okay? Mandy? Laura? Everyone okay???????
 
We missed last nights round but are getting a round now. It was nasty at first...we got some hail and really high winds. It's dying down now a lil (mostly just thunder and rain) but they are saying this is going to go on all day.
 
We lost a tree.. that should have made my pretty little Escape into a red pancake.. but somehow.. it fell the other way. Other than that, we are okay.

I'm okay!! But we did have a tornado supposedly touch down on the other side of the small town I live in last night! And guess where I was during all the hub bub? At the grocery store sitting in the back room with all the other customers & employees! I had ran to the store to pick up milk cause we were completely out and Kyle was going to be needing a bottle at bedtime, so Rob was at home by himself with all 3 kids when the tornado sirens went off! So while the Dillon's manager is on the PA telling us all to leave our carts and go to the back room I'm trying to call him to make sure he's packing up the kids and going across the street to our neighbors that have a basement! Finally after about an hour I think they called off the tornado warning & they let us check out & leave, so I drove home in the pouring rain. It rained all night & I think we got some hail but other than we are okay!
 
Wow, I'm sure glad you girls are ok! I saw in the news that they're ordering the evacuation of Des Moines,Iowa due to flooding. Mother Nature is sure pounding the heck out of that part of the states:blink: .

Yikes Jill - that is one freaky picture! And what the heck were they doing taking pictures instead of being in their basement or storm shelter??
 
hope everyone is okay!!:( we (in Ontario) had some bad thunderstorms and tornados last friday (two touched down in my city) and nasty weather is scarrrrry. I wouldn't let my husband let go of my hand all night! Nothing even CLOSE to that craaaaaazy photo!
 
I think I'd crap my pants if I was in the path of that photo!!!! HOLY COW that is scary!!!

As I mentioned in another thread, my FIL and DH's family lives in Iowa just outside of Council Bluffs. We are inheriting the property someday and I keep telling DH to forget EVER moving there and that picture just reassures me that I will NEVER, EVER move to the mid-West.

I hope all of you girls stay safe!!!!!

Things are better now. We got 5 inches of rain today and have massive flooding...and I hear we are getting another round of 5 or more inches later. Sheesh...I need a boat!
