Okay, so all of a sudden I am getting TONS of spam type messages in my regular folder and my spam folder is filling up at about 3 times the rate it used to. WTH is up? It's driving me crazy! I'm thinking of switching over to my windowslive e-mail addy but I'm not sure if I can access my POP mail through it.
 
lol I keep getting the "hurry we need to contact you so we can give you 9million dollars from some random old lady" :D :D :D when I switched servers for some reason the spam went out of control. I had some nifty email spam blockers set up with my old server.... LOL I must investigate. At least it's not porno :D :D
 
I am getting creeps trying to contact me with Yahoo messenger. I am reporting them as spam but at least once a day someone asks me "R U Here?"

There has to be a setting somewhere to fix this but I can't find it.
 
Amanda, Go to Messenger, Privacy Options, Ignore List, then check off "ignore anyone who is not on my Messenger list"
 
My Yahoo, MSN and personal server emails were HORRIBLE for spam. I switched to gmail and have 1 of my server emails going through it, and the spam has pretty much stopped (well, it still comes in, but gmail's spam blockers are AWESOME, so I never see it, lol). LOVE gmail!
 
ohmygoodness I have loads of spam in my yahoo account. blugg. I'm contemplating abandoning it or maybe using it as my email for any online purchases, etc and just using my gmail account for everything else.
 
Same here, tons of spam mail and creepy IMs on YIM. It's my main account though where all my bills get sent to so I have to stay with them. :(
 
I get a creepy IM every so often too. My spam has settled down a ton lately too, thank goodness I used to get some really weird things in my spam folder!!!
