in PSE6 it's some sort of style option I think. I don't have PSE6 open so trying to remember . . .

might be a layer style. you can choose what sort of drop shadow you want. an fx appears in the layer pallette. you click on that to adjust the color, size, distance and angle I think.

when you have the drop shadow box open you can also just click on the shadow itself on your layout and drag it around.

I wish I could help you. I used to use PSE3.0 and then PSE4.0 for Mac, but switched because I felt like I had no control over shadows at all...

I figured it out, I dodn't usually play with too much that I don't know, I am not very computer smart. so I tend to just stick with what I know.

I guess that is what the 'undo' button is for;)

I use PSE 5... will my advice work?
The quick way to adjust your shadow is to double click on the icon next to the layer's name in the layers pallette that indicates the layer has a layer style (it kinda looks like a little sun) and then the box will pop up for you to adjust the distance/size/opacity/color.

yah, its a layer style; drop shadow. you can adjust it. i do use Misty's tut for a lot though too. the layer style is cool for some things but its kind of limited compared to doing it by hand. and once you get the hang of it its not so bad!
