Since I bought my new laptop, my LOs take FOREVER to upload in the galleries for some reason. They don't on my PC, just on my laptop. The PC runs on XP, the lappie on Vista.

Did anyone else notice this problem? It takes 10 minutes sometimes!

I'm running Vista on my new PC & I haven't had any trouble uploading layouts anywhere or with anything at all really. I have 3GB of RAM so this thing is way faster at everything than my old computer!

Sorry Jamie, I'm with Shawna. No difference in uploading here (and running vista).

Grrr what a PITA! I don't know why it would be different, both of my computers are on wireless.

Maybe the problem is your router, the signal is maybe not as strong for your laptop as it is for your PC?

I have issues too but not as bad as 10 minutes. I do notice that my signal on my laptop is not as strong as it is on the desktop too though....I had never thought of that!!! Why is it that that happens???..It is still weaker even if I am in the same room as the router.

No problem with my laptop either, I have Vista and it runs about the same as my desktop where I had XP. Sorry no help here! Hope you find out soon, how frustrating.

I just thought of something - what anti-virus are you using? I forgot what came with the laptop (starts w/ a T) but after the trial expired, I installed McAfee and it slowed everything down, esp PSE. Took a couple of months before it ran up to speed again. That's the only thing I can think of.

It would be odd, because I'm only about 6 feet away from my PC LOL, and the router is about 12 feet in the other direction. But oh well, I'll just suffer for now! LOL

Does your PC have "wireless" or is the internet actually plugged into it from the router (ie, I have wireless internet, but my PC isn't wireless, it's plugged into my router). Or it could be that your wireless card is stronger in your PC than your laptop, maybe.

I'm thinking it's the router too Jaime, because I use Vista and have no probems at all!

My PC has a wireless card, it is not plugged in. It probably is a better wireless card, my PC was built for me with my specs in it, and I had mostly top of the line stuff at that time.
