What is the consensus on blogging.

Is there one site that is better then the other?

What all do you ladies have?

I know of blogger and typepad, but I kind of don't want blogger cause it creates a whole "google account".
 
I would have to agree with Jamie. I have typepad also. I had wordpress on my domain and hated it. Got typepad over a year ago and LOVE it.
 
I use WordPress, the free version and really like it. Before that I used Blogger and it drove me nuts, it was always such a pain to try to upload photos and stuff. I've never had any problems with Wordpress in the year or so I've been using it, their dashboard is super easy to use and you can choose from lots of different themes and most of them are somewhat customizable.
 
i use Wordpress on my own web space. I like how I can customize WP but I hate upgrading it when a new release comes out.
 
I've been with blogger/blogspot for about 5 years now & have never had any real problems with apart from some down time about a year ago. I use Windows Live Writer to post now & everything goes smoothly.
 
Yep, I've used blogger for almost 4 years and love it... but I also love google/gmail/etc as well so that wasn't a problem. I can customize it enough for what I want and I haven't had many problems with it! And it's free!

I've been wanting to check out Windows Live Writer to post to my blog, maybe I will!
 
I use Blogger and love it...I have used them for a while now. I like them more than the others mostly b/c I can customize it more...I didn't like that I couldn't completely customize my Wordpress...and I didn't want to pay for Typepad...
 
I use Wordpress hosted on my own domain. I love it simply because you can pretty much customize it anyway you want.
 
I'm a blogging neophyte, but I use Blogger. I've already got a google account so that worked for me just fine.It's really easy and you can customize it a lot to your own tastes. There are things I've yet to learn, but for what I need just now, it works great. If I can do it, believe me, anyone can,lol.
 
I have blogger too and I find that it is soooo hard to customize - I am thinking of switching to typepad also -

Ditto! :) And Windows Live Writer is awesome. I'm redoing/redirecting my blog....it's been down for a few months. LOL
 
ok...so i ended up going with wordpress...i hope it works out. i am still waiting for my confirmation email...how long does that crap take?!??

I'm in the process of redoing mine too. I've been slowly working on it since May. Maybe all the customizing possibilities isn't a good thing, :D.
 
I have used Blogger, Typepad and Wordpress and all have their own pros and cons. Blogger was great for customizing the background, Typepad was great for it's ease of changing the style, and Wordpress is good all around. When I first started it when I started my own site, I thought it was a huge hassle, but now that I've gotten to know how it works, I love it. I like how I can customize the background (& everything else for that matter). I LOVE my blog! The background is looseleaf, just like my site :)
