She called me yesterday after she had picked up Chloe and told me she went and got her ears pierced! We had tried it before but Chloe freaked out so i figured she's be waiting until she was a little older before trying it again. (she's 5 now) Well i guess she was ready, lol. MIL said she didnt even cry. they had one person on each ear and did both holes at the same time. good idea, lol. I haven't seen her yet (she's spending a few days with Granny) but you can be sure that i'll be taking pics and scrapping it!! lmao!
Plus, i can't wait to go earing shopping with her now. I haven't worn earings in my ears for awhile so i'll get some for me too! My second holes may be closed up; they do that when i go without earings for awhile.

Awww... my DD's have theirs done too. They didn't cry much when they got it done either. One was 4 1/2 and the other was about 15 months

I did both my girls as soon as I could...Kristen (6) got hers done at 10 months and Kaylee (almost 3) got them done at 6 months. I did it so they wouldn't fool with the earrings and it would be easier to apply the ointment. Plus they won't remember the pain. LOL Although they both think it's going to hurt when I switch earrings...
Have fun shopping! :)

Hooray! That's so exciting and so nice of her!
My grandma almost had a breakdown when my mom took me to get my ears done. I don't remember how old I was, but they didn't do it at the time same. So they did one, and I screamed bloody murder and my grandma tried to go to the entire opposite side of the mall, but she could still hear me. And then they had to do the second one. But they learned, and did my sister both ears at once, lol.

Oh, that's sweet! DH said I could do it to Natalie whenever, as long as he wasn't there. So I went to the mall with him and the kids...he went one way, I went the other...and I took her in and got them pierced. They wouldn't do both at once (said that sometimes kids jump and if the second one was a little bit behind, they'd end up uneven). So, she did the first one and Natalie kinda bit her lip and said "Owwww...THAT hurt!" lol. Then she realized we wanted to do the other ear and FREAKED out, I had to hold her down and she was screaming...people were walking by and shaking their heads like I was so horrible. Anyhow, as soon as she got the second earring in, the girl gave her a sucker, and she stopped crying instantly, lol. She was about 3 when I finally got around to doing it.
We had a little trouble with her letting us clean them (but we always won, lol).

How sweet! DH took DD1 when she turned 4 and she didn't even cry. She's always had a high tolerance for pain, which is good. DD2 and 3 cried their eyes out though. Unfortunately one of DD3's earring fell out! Don't know what she did, but one day it was gone. I tried to put another in, but the back already closed. Ugh! Not looking forward to doing it again!

Oh how exciting. To bad though you couldn't have been there with her to get pics of them doing it. We are just waiting for Kim to say she wants them done. Then we'll go.

That's sweet! My monster-in-law would NEVER think of doing something like that. She hates parting with her money! LOL

She now wants to see if my little Emma wants to get hers done. She'll be 3 in October. and she's a screamer, lol. I know she'll cry. I don't want to be there. i may wait until she's the same age as Chloe. Plus, i have a hard enough time getting Emma to let me brush her hair let alone clean her ears, lol.

That is So awesome!! Lily had her ears pierced at almost six months and I wish I woulda waited a little bit longer because she had VERY thin ear lobes and when she was two or so the stud got caught on her hair while she was sleeping and it ripped clean out of her ear. Thank god it didnt seem to be painful because they had pierced them to low but now we have to have her ear stitched together. We want to do it when shes older because they have to sedate her if we do it now. They want to make sure she can sit still and because its considered cosmetic my insurance wont pick it up. I cant wait to see all your adorable pictures!!

Here in Latin America we are used to pierce ears when the babies are a couple of days old. Usually by a nurse in the hospital (that was it for me and my nieces). I make my second pierce at 14 and the third at 17. Those are closed now as I only use one pair of ear rings all the time (gold, as I'm allergic to anything else)
