Ok, I have seen many threads about this program so I thought I would try the free trial to see if I like it. Is it pretty straight forward on how to organize your things? Lord knows I don't need anything that is complicated. Do you like it? Have you had problems with it? I read that some of you "lost" it and had to redownload it  That scares me.

I like it. I don't love it. And I have had some problems with mine in the past. But, I was trying to work without it last week and realized that even though I'm fine with my own version of organizing, I really do work with it more, and missed it on the computer I was working on.
Besides having everyone here who can answer, they have a forum at www.digiscrapinfo.com with hints and tips and downloads, etc.
I think a big hint would be don't expect to tag everything at once unless you only own 10 kits LOL, and give yourself time to experiment, etc., before you settle on any particular system. There are a few downloadable tag systems there that you can look at and play with and see if they work for you.

It's fabulous. Check out digiscrapinfo.com for just about all your questions. They're great over there!
Also, you can back it up and burn it to a CD/DVD so you won't have to redownload it. There are instructions for that at digiscrapinfo as well (if you can't figure it out). Happy tagging! (and no, it's not complicated!)

Thanks for the insight :) For those ladies that don't use this program, how do you organize all your kits? Do you use another program or do you have your own way of doing it?

I was using the photo organizer that came with my PSE3 and while it worked fine for a few years it's really starting to bog down/slow down my computer (I had over 25,000 thumbnails in it). I actually just purchased ACDSee 10 today and I have played around with it a bit and it doesn't seem to much different tagging wise but I think it will run a lot smoother for me because I think it "keeps" your images different then PSE organizers (if that makes sense).
I'm looking forward to jumping into ACDSee with both feet!!!

oh I looooove ACDSee10. I always open it first and open PS through it.
try to tag the way you scrap. Tag the stuff you look for. Like if you tend to look for certain patterns tag that way. Or tag by colors if you look for colors. I think ACDSee can seem overwhelming b/c it does quite a lot but I think it's pretty straightforward. And it's quite easy to change stuff.
I just think of it as a super version of Windows Explorer.

I have to say that I bought it because everyone said it was the best and I really dont like it -
I keep all my stuff in Picasa and organize in explorer and I guess I am just used to it - I am just not a fan
