NSBR: Baby Alive- anyone have this doll?

My daughter is turning 4 on July 12th and all she has talked about is Baby Alive!! I have read some reviews that were good and bad so now I'm not so sure about it! I know she has her heart set on it so she will get it. I was just curious to know if anyone here has one (well your kids LOL).
 
Ellie got one for her 4th birthday from a friend. It was the popular baby for a while ... but now it is just in with the rest LOL
 
we have it too! my daughter loves dolls, but i could never let her feed it w/o helping her and there was no way i was going to keep buying the diapers from the manufacturer! way too expensive! i opted to buy some premie diapers instead.
 
We have it, it was played with once, then tossed aside. Amelia refused to change the diapers or even try, and didn't like to feed it. I already have three kids, I don't want one more to take care of LOL.
 
My 3 year old got one last christmas, and it was her fave until she got a lots to love baby for her birthday in May.
She loves the diapers, but I exchanged the ones provided with some grip tab ones so she could reuse them. I only let her feed baby a bottle of water and she loved that fact that the baby would wee so she could change its diaper.

I would say she got more enjoyment out of this one (for the small amount of time she enjoys anything) than any other baby she's had.
 
My dd bought one with her own money when Baby Alive came out (I had one as a kid!) and we ended up taking her back after a week because she would leak out around the arm joints. Taylor was so disappointed that she didn't want another one.

The cost of the "extra" food and diapers also was ver discouraging but they were outrageous when I was a kid, I remember.
 
We don't have it but my DD (4 yrs old now) wanted one. I passed on it because all my friends in this area who have one said it isn't worth it. My daughter loves the Lots to Love baby though!
 
My 2 year old wanted one for Christmas, but there was no way I was having a peeing doll in the house. LOL Plus having to buy diapers and food for it is silly.
 
Thanks for the input everyone!! These comments are about the same as what the reviews said on the store websites. I told Hannah that she could have Baby Alive for her birthday, but we may pretend to feed her or just feed her water in a bottle. I also think I will buy a pack of preemie diapers and just use them every once in a while!! Boy these toy companies sure know how to do it don't they!! They will suck every penny out of you LOL!!
