Help with brushes

Can anyone tell me how you load brushes into PSE? Thanks so much! :thumbup:

In 6 you can just select your brush tool-click the little arrow-and load brushes that way...

there's also this option
Go to Edit>Preset Manager
Click the “Load” button
Load your abr file

Mind you..I just gather this from reading..I use PS

I got them loaded. Is there a way to resize them when you stamp them on you page?
I guess you can tell I have no clue how to use them!!:blink:

Does PSE have a brush palette? You should be able to adjust the size of the brush before you apply it to your canvas. Of course, if you change your mind, just use your transform controls to resize it. Just like photos, brushes will loose quality if you upsize. You probably know this, but make sure you stamp it onto a separate layer to allow for maximum flexibility. I just thought I'd mention it in case anyone else reads the thread

Another way to load brushes is to drag and drop the brush pack from the folder it's saved to onto the tool bar short cut down by your "start" (if you have one set up). That's the easiest way IMHO. HTH!

what i do is click the new layer button right above all my "scrapping layers" and stamp onto that layer then once i have the items stamped i can resize them accordingly. i hope this made sense. the new layer button is a little square button that has a picture of a piece of paper with a folded edge.

One of my favorite shortcuts with brushes (the few times I use them - I haven't used them much either) is to use the left bracket ([) and right bracket (]) to resize them before you actually stamp them on the page. With the few brushes that I've used, once you select the brush and move your mouse over the page, you can see how big the brush is going to be. You can then just hit the [ key to make it smaller or the ] key to make it bigger before you even stamp it. (This helps me alot when I'm trying to use the eraser tool as well - it's soooo nice to be able to make the brush smaller or bigger while you still have the cursor over your layout)

You can easily resize the brush by hitting the bracket keys, this "[" makes it smaller and "]" makes it bigger,
