So, I got home from work at lunchtime, went to give the kids my usual hello hug and kiss, and I notice Quin holding his left arm (as you can see from the pics, he is keeping it sooo close to his body). Des told me that he had been holding it since he fell out of bed this morning. I didn't think it looked right, so I loaded him up and off to the ER we went. Had to wait a little while, it's a small ER, but the doctor looked at his arm and didn't think there was anything wrong. I noticed while the doctor was rotating his arm this way and that, that my "quiet-around-strangers-but-isn't-quiet-theest-of-the-time" child was cringing every time he squeezed his arm or moved it, didn't cry out or anything. So the doctor decided to do an X-Ray. Quin finally cried out when we had to turn his arm and lay it flat for the X-Ray.
Anyways, they couldn't see a noticable fracture or anything, they think it's around his elbow, and since he's so young and things still are growing and not fully fussed, we have to wait and see what happens. If he is still hurting by Friday, we take him back in for another X-Ray and possibly a cast. Otherwise, if it's just dislocated, as the doctor thinks it is, it should feel better by then.
Poor little guy, he has just had his arm hanging around, won't move it at all. He's been pretty quiet for the most part, but I did get this out of him while trying to take pics to share ...
