I do not cook.
That being said a few weeks ago someone posted some great Paula Deen recipes. I've made them all this week and my family has loved them. This week we've had, Paula's Meatloaf and red smashed potatoes, Sausage and Rice Casserole, and I even got a little ambitious yesterday and made Pulled Pork sandwiches.
I need more tried and true recipes. My family likes "normal" food as they say. Nothing funky. :)
Thanks!!!

I made the potato and sausage crockpot recipe that Micheline posted and it was INCREDIBLE!!! My kids ate it up! I bought a Paula Deen magazine yesterday, i will try to get some of them typed up tomorrow because I put sticky notes on about 30 pages out of it, LOL

I love Paula Deen, but I'm doing weight watchers so don't get to try many of her recipes, but here's one we really liked.
Bacon Cheeseburger Meatloaf
1 pound ground chuck
10 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
1 (8-ounce) package sharp Cheddar, grated
2 large eggs, lightly beaten
1/4 cup bread crumbs, toasted
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/3 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons prepared mustard
1 (3-ounce) can French fried onions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
In a large bowl, combine the ground chuck and next 8 ingredients, mixing well.
In a small bowl, combine the ketchup and mustard. Stir 1/4 cup ketchup mixture into meat
mixture, reserving remaining ketchup mixture.
Press meat mixture into a 9 by 5 by 3-inch loaf pan, or shape into a loaf and place on a
rack in a broiler pan. Spread remaining ketchup mixture over loaf. Bake 40 minutes. Top with
French fried onions; bake another 10 to 15 minutes, or until meat is no longer pink.

Here are two of our favorites:
(Got this one off a slow cooker recipe blog, but don't remember where...)
CROCK POT CHICKEN FRIED PORK CHOPS
1/2 cups all purpose flour
2 tsp salt
1-1/2 tsp ground mustard
1/2 tsp garlic powder
6 pork chops, trimmed
2 T. vegetable oil
1 can condensed cream of chicken soup, undiluted
1/3 cup water
In a shallow bowl, combine flour, salt, mustard and garlic powder; dredge pork chops. In a skillet, brown the chops on both sides in oil. Place in a slow cooker or crock pot. Combine soup and water; pour over chops. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until meat is tender. If desired, thicken pan juices and serve with the pork chops.
(And this one was from a church cookbook, but I've made some modifications...)
Chicken Crescent Roll-Ups
1 can (9.75 oz.) chicken breast (or 1 ¾ c. cubed, cooked chicken)
1 c. shredded cheddar cheese
2 8 oz. cans crescent rolls (16 crescent rolls total)
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 ½ c. milk
Preheat oven to 350°. Combine chicken and cheese. Spoon 1 tablespoon of chicken mixture onto each crescent roll; roll up. Place crescent rolls into a greased 10 x 15 casserole dish. Mix soup, milk and any remaining chicken mixture. Pour over crescent rolls. Bake for 30 – 35 minutes.

I just love Paula Deen... If you like the recipes you have made of hers so far... you might want to check out her website www.cookingwithpauladeen.com
She also has a "Cooking with Paula Deen" magazine subscription that always has really yummy stuff in it. (I have really enjoyed this month's.) One of the things I have made is grilled peach cobbler... yum yum!! Anyway, just thought I would share...
