enough with the fireworks

LMAO... Then I'm old too because they drive me crazy!

Thankfully my neighbor FINALLY stopped doing firecrackers in the middle of the cul-de-sac this year. Every year I used to DREAD 4th of July!

OMG... Seriously... I jinxed myself! Stupid neighbors are out right now practically under my older two boys bedroom window! UGH!

I have to say I've had my fair share of them too!! We have neighbors that think they're just the best....this is the 3rd night they've been shooting them off!!

I don't mind fireworks on the 4th of July between the hours of 10am and 10pm. Its a bit annoying when you have sleeping kids, but its one day a year, ya know?
What I hate is when people turn Indpendence Day into a week-long even (or sometimes longer!!) and shoot off loud obnoxious fireworks days before and days after our country's birthday. SO annoying!! AND anything after 10:30pm is just rude. Most of our neighbors were done by 11pm last night (which isn't too bad considering the city's fireworks show doesn't end until almost 10pm. BUT... we had one neighbor down the street that wasn't done until almost midnight. I think someone finally went out there and told him to knock it off. lol
But yeah, Mimi. I'm with ya.

I am a dud too I guess! They have been going off in our neighborhood for days!!! It's horrible! I have a constant headache now! :cursing:

I don't mind so much since my kids sleep like ROCKS! but the city time limit here is until 11 pm on the 3rd and 5th and midnight on the 4th....so depending on how rude or considerate our neighbors are, is how well we enjoy them!

Fireworks are only allowed here for organised events. You can't just go and buy them and let them off. They were banned here years ago because of too many accidents.

So if you want to see fireworks, you have to go an organised display. Which means no annoying fireworks let off by neighbours at all hours.

I'm right there with ya! They've been going off for the past 5-6 days here and if last year was any indication, we'll have to endure them next weekend too.

Thankfully, fireworks aren't a huge deal here...we tend to see them only on Canada Day, lol. A "neighbor" (he lives a block away, we can't see his house or anything) got married last weekend, and they were setting off some fireworks at his place for a couple days, but it was like one here or there and that was it. No biggie.

I hate it when the neighbors are doing their own and its not at 9 at night its more like midnight! UGH!
