Can you believe that it's.... JULY??

uggh, i know, I've already started saving money for christmas and I am totally not ready for it yet. I'm trying a different approach to the madness of gifts for 3 kids this year though. The older 2 kids want a Wii (the baby's only 2 so she doesn't know the difference) soooo, we're getting that as a family gift and then the kids are getting $50 each to spend on whatever they want. Neither of them still believe in Santa so that element of surprise is gone, we'll still do Santa with the baby and my DBF's 2 girls though. I spent entirely too much money last year on the kids and over half the toys they got NEVER get played with and I'm tired of wasting money on stuff that's going to end up a yard sale for $1 anyway.
 
Oh I dont even WANT to think about Christmas LOL! My kids are rediculously spoiled so Im shaking at the thought. I am such a last minute shopper too and it always kicks our butt. I swear I will start in August and never do! This year is going SO fast! Which isnt all bad because its been a toughy for us but I totally wasn't prepared for June to go that fast!
 
<<<SIGH>>> Isn't it sad how fast time goes! I can't believe it is July either! We have VBS next week and here I was feeling like we had weeks till the day. Lots of stuff to do before then!!

I refuse to even think about Christmas until sometime in October when my mother starts badgering me for gift ideas. This year all I want is gift cards to home depot or lowes for stuff to do to the house, lol. I KNOW she's not gonna go for that.

Aside from that, no, I can not believe how quickly the year is going. Although I'm so excited to be doing wedding stuff, I don't really care :) The sooner it goes the sooner we can build our fence for the backyard and add the deck to the house.
 
Traci - my son just turned 1 on Memorial Day weekend!! What a bittersweet moment.

I swear if the rest of my life goes by as quickly as this first year with my son did, I'll be a grandma in two blinks of an eye.

It's so hard to believe!
