ACDSee Question

So...I'm not all that great at working through ACDSee but I've had it since January and have all of my digital scrapbooking stuff organized through this program. I organize my items by store, then designer. So, I recently purchased some of Libby's stuff...and every time I open her folders, the program shuts down.

I am pretty sure that the problem is that the file name is too long because I read somewhere that the files have to be under a certain number of characters. So, is the only way around this to rename the files through windows?? I have had this happen with other designers items as well, but it seems like the ones with the longer names are the ones I have the most problems with.

Is anyone else having this issue?? Or do you know a way around this besides renaming EVERY single file?? I just don't have time to rename them all...

Hmmm...I'm not sure. I know that when I had ACDSee9, it would randomly shut down, but I never noticed a pattern. I haven't had ACDSee 10 do it to me, yet...
