pinched nerves, tennis elbow

Who's had the buggers and how did you deal with them?

Mine is in the elbow, kinda like tennis elbow. I was hit by a drunk drive when I was 16, hairline fracture to the collarbone and some major jerking around of my arms and shoulders from the wheel and car spinning and stuff...so the nerves in my left arm like to act up sometimes. I ended up in physical therapy for it a few years back and that worked wonders but insurance doesn't cover all of it. Now a couple days ago me and Kassi were wrestling (yes, we're loony tunes in this house) and I fell wrong or something on my elbow and it's flared up again pretty badly.

Advice?

Me. Same thing. Rear-ended in an accident about 12 years ago. Had neck/back problems ever since. Now that I type all day it's a lot worse. I have been going to the chiro 2x a week for the past 3 months. My whole left arm, neck, back kill me!!!

Lots of 800mg. motrin and the chiro help.

I am a coder at an orthopedic clinic, so I'm not the doc but I read a ton of clinic notes...that being said, I do not think tennis elbow is an easy thing to get rid of... . I would see if maybe you can get a couple of sessions to Physical Therapy but see if they can teach you a home exercise program that you can do at home on your own. Maybe even just one or two sessions so they can show you the ropes?? Just a suggestion.

This is what Jeff thinks he has. He's going to the dr on Monday I think.

He's been wearing an elbow brace, he says it helps.

I know wearing a wrist brace helps when I'm typing. The doctor told me to get an elbow brace - I just haven't done it yet. Yes, strengthen exercises will help but you have to do them. I went to PT for a year a while back and I cannot remember what I'm supposed to be doing... Guess I should go back since it's been bothering me a lot lately. ;) I just have other things I'd rather spend my time doing than hanging out with the PT...
