Ever since Chad gave his computer to his mom, cause hers quit, we've been sharing my desktop. Well, he plays WoW. No need to say more, huh? So i've had very limited time on the computer. And i'm on 4 CT's. Needless to say, i've fallen behind and feel bad. I was even pondering letting some go because i just don't have the same amount of time available on the computer as i did when we both had our own. So. We went to Best Buy on Friday and were looking around, not for anything fancy, but with plenty of RAM and memory. We found an Acer for $499. Like i said, its not fancy; i don't very often play any games so i didnt need it to be. I'll just use if for scrapping and internet surfing mostly. And its so cute, not a really big one. It'll fit on my lap just fine, lol. I got an automated message on my phone today from UPS and it'll be here tomorrow morning! Yippeee!! Now, we are going to attempt an easy file transfer of my scrap stuff from this computer to another. from what i've been reading on it it requires a special cable. DH says he knows how to do it, so we'll see. I was going the burned DVD route but soon realized that i have SO MUCH stuff it won't fit on one DVD; more like 20,457, lol. I really wish i had an external hard drive. maybe santa will bring me one.
I really LOVE those Mac book Air laptops, but i've never used a mac. i'd have to switch everything (mac versions of photoshop etc.) and it'd be a pain. plus, they are not cheap.
oh, and this is apparently my anniversary present. It'll be 9 years on July 19th. hard to believe i've put up with him for this long, considering what we've been through. and if you've ever read any of my previous posts about DH, you'd understand that, lol. But its' all good. He's on new meds and doing pretty good now.
