So I need to start carrying around a purse again. I was just carrying a wallet and had my car key inside, but since we got a new car my keys are too big. Any suggestions on great purses? Bonus points if you can fit a diaper and wipes in there!
I go back and forth, I have some really good bags (a Dooney ad Bourke and a Juicy Couture) that I love... but I also love my bags from Target too! LOL! I tend to like to change mine often, so I'm usually content with some that is cute, will stay on my shoulder, and that hides stains... LOL!
I got my black leather one at Bentley on sale for $14.99! It has a lot of pockets and space but doesn't look that huge. I can hold wipes, a few diapers, my cell phone, wallet, keys, makeup, kleenex and a sippy cup in it!
I have some Vera right now (java blue!) Wallet, Diaperbag, Key Fob, and I also have it in the tote when I'm not using a diaper bag
I have a few coaches too..I normally carry bags for awhile so I don't mind splurging either (DH does though haha) I had the squiggle coach diaper bag with Ryleigh but I had to wash it all the time...I like the Vera much more!
oh I need a purse too! I'm still carrying around a Lands' End small diaper bag that I use as a purse. I like it b/c it has exterior bottle pockets that I use for water bottles. I always have a bottle of water with me.
My ideal bag
zips closed
does not have black interior
has exterior bottle pocket
is lightweight
has straps long enough that I can wear it across my body
I'm thinking of maybe getting one from Baggallini but none of them are quite what I want. Close but not quite perfect.
I love my Coach bags. They last FOREVER. I have one I use 90% of the time. A nice big one in solid black leather. It was my "I'm an adult and have a real job with a real paycheck now so I better get an adult purse" purchase when I graduated college and started working I STILL get compliments on it! Lol!
No suggestions for you as I've never needed a diaper bag.
I tend to walk the line between teenybop and adult with my purses, and the more unusual, the better, so I buy most of my purses at Penney's or Target. I don't think I've ever spent more than $40 on a purse since I like to change purses at least 2x a year with the seasons. 'Boring' plain black/brown purses like the ones described above just do nothing for me.
I think it's only fair that I get to dress up and be cutesy with the only two things I can wear in regular size on my body: purses and shoes.
I'm loving that TracyJoy site. I want one of her camera bags. but i don't want to pay $70, lol. i love her bags, though so its tempting. i'm a 'get more for less' kinda gal; bargain shopper.
For purses, I'm a huge fan of the fabric Fossil bags. You can't get them at the Fossil stores or website--they're only available at department stores. (Macy's has a lot of them.) They come in a variety of styles and sizes, last well, have lots of pockets, and have non-black interiors. I have a tiny one that I carry when I'm out by myself and a medium sized one that I sometimes use as a diaper bag. (Correction: I used to use it as a diaper bag before DS2 started using sippy cups that leak all over. Now I'm stuck with 'real' diaper bags that have exterior bottle pockets or everything I carry gets wet. For a real diaper bag I love the Lands End Little Tripper that was mentioned earlier. It's not being made right now, but I was told it would be back in the near future.)
I'm obsessed with Coach as well. They're really great quality and last forever, so I can somehow justify the cost. Those Vera purses are looking pretty nice. lol
