Okay, so I'm getting my copy next Friday night at the release party and I won't be back online until I'm done because I'm afraid of spoilers...

so... what I'd like to say is...

please please please, as someone who had HP6 spoiled for her in the worst way imaginable... can we make SSD a spoiler free zone? Not all of us can get to the books as quickly as, well, say, ME... heh heh, but no new flair that will give away anything new for a little while, kay??

can we all make that pact that we can keep it spoiler free here for awhile and not ruin the Twilight-goodness for anyone else?

I'd just hate to see someone get Breaking Dawn ruined for them because someone pops a flair in their avatar that says "Bella has Jacob's litter" or some such nonsense. (I think I just threw up a little in my mouth there)

sounds great to me! I'm not sure how quickly we'll be able to get it. I know we'll get it on the 2nd...but we may not get it at midnight...Tabatha and I are both really fast readers though ;)
 
Twilight is a series of books that is somehow like crack.
I'm sure you've seen lots of flair talking about Edward or Jacob, or Bella... or like mine below says Forks is a Hellmouth (which is also a Buffy reference)
There are four (well, will be four after next Saturday), by Stephenie Meyer.
There's Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn...

It's about a teenage girl living in rainy Forks, Washington going to high school with a family of (hot) vampires... it's a YA book. (young adult)

... and, ugh, I feel so disgusting saying this... but it's a romance.

I hate romances.

ROFL... book crack... I feel that way about the Women's Murder Club books by James Patterson. lol

These sound really interesting. I wonder if I can get them at the book store on base. We're pretty limited on what we get here. :(
 
I'm sure you can... seriously... it's like the biggest seller in YA right now... it's basically the new Harry Potter...

and now I have to go shoot myself in the foot for the blasphemy. yay.

Bfing the nugget, but I'm off to bed now! Just get the book... do a thread search for Twilight, you'll be shocked how many of us are schoolgirls over it. I know off the top of my head there's me, Libby, Corey, Lena, Nikki, Paula, Angela... there's a bunch of us... I think Traci, too.

Oh YES! I agree - I had New Moon spoiled due to flair :thumbdown: so I would LOVE a "spoiler free" zone!
 
I highly doubt I can the 1st 3 read before the new one comes out... how long will it stay "spoiler free" here. rofl
 
fine with me. I didnt have the money to pre order my copy, so i hope i can find it in a store somewhere, lol. I also have a baby shower to go to Saturday so i'll be busy part of the day. I better be able to find that book....
 
You got it! I don't have the book preordered .I'm on the hold list for it at the library. But, I might end up buying it. Not sure if I can wait a month to read it.

I'm going to be in Vegas with dh's family, so I'm going to see if I can convince any of them to go to a release party with me. If it were my family, I know that they're not too cool to go, but sometimes I wonder about his family...

I had HP6 spoiled in (I would imagine) the same way, so I HATE spoilers. I love to be deliciously surprised!
 
You can do it Laura. Remember, it's YA and CRACK. So...it's a really quick read, nothing cerebral....and it's so addictive you'll stop sleeping to finish it. I'm only halfway through New Moon and I have Eclipse waiting here for me...i know I'll have both books done by Saturday. ;)
 
I promise no spoilers! I hate spoilers! I am so excited to get the new book! Me and my sis are going to a release party!!
 
I know that I will have to stay off the internet until I get it finished, even though I will probably spoil it for myself and read the last page of the book. I always do that to myself. I guess I am not good with surprises.
 
I pre-ordered my copy too so I won't be around until I'm done!! I'm actually reeading twilight now and will more than likely have the first 3 reead before I get my hands on Breaking Dawn!! Then I will have to wait patiently again for Midnight Sun!! :thumbup: :thumbup:

I had planned to go to the release party but that quickly got cancelled when I found out I had to get up at 4am to go to work that day.
So, on the way to work I'll run by the 24hr Walmart and snag me a copy. If I can't get it there, I'll have DH go to the bookstore on his way to work and get me one.
I'm so friggin excited it's almost all I think about.:blink:

But there's part of me that doesn't want to read it. I know that when I finish it, the story is over and I want this story to go on FOREVER!
UGH! Stupid addictive books.:cursing:
 
Definitely no spoilers from me! I was #12 on the list for it @ the library but when they told me yesterday that it could be awhile before they even have their 19 copies shelf ready & available for checkout I broke down & just pre-ordered it from Walmart.com. It was less than $14 including tax & shipping so I thought that was good & it's supposed to be here 8/2! As soon as the mail man gets here with it I'll be disappearing for a few hours to devour it lol!
 
I plan to be at Barnes and Noble at midnight with bells on! LOL! But no spoilers from me I promise! :) I can't wait though! Ohh the suspense! ;-)

We (dd age 13 and I) won't be there at the crack of dawn, but we will be finding our way to Barnes and Noble the next day. My dd informed me that she gets to read it first, but I told her I'm paying for it.

I'll let her read it first hee hee but I had to scare the heck out of her!
