Chat last night at DST

I swear, maybe it's my age showing here, but I've never been quite so embarrassed as a scrapper. Of course, I haven't been doing this that long. I could not believe the total disregard for what Shannon and Christy said and the immaturity level of those just there for a freebie.

Is it just me? Was anyone else there?

I will probably never do another chat like that again. It was just horrible.

At least Shabby Princess took it all in stride.
 
Nope, I wasn't there because it started at midnight. If it were earlier maybe I would have been. Sometimes people can be such buttheads. I think Shannon or a mod should be able to kick out whoever is not following the rules.
 
I was just so disappointed that there was barely time for SP to talk because everyone kept jumping in and when they said they were doing questions for goodies -- OMG!!! It was total chaos!
 
There was an email with the promise of goodies and those girls were just VULTURES!! It was embarrassing that Shannon and Christy kept telling them to stop posting and they kept going and going!

In the end - they just randomly picked 8 people to get GC's for SP goodies.
 
I was at church; I really wanted to go just cuz I like Kristy...and I wanted to see if she has a new release coming soon. Does she?

But last time I was at a chat, which was for Gina Cabrera a year ago, the mod didn't show up and NOBODY followed the rules. It was maddening. I went to the oen for Michelle Coleman, too, but that was a long time ago and people DID follow the rules and it was a very nice chat. I love it when designers get to have the spotlight like that.
 
I tend to avoid chats, but especially over there....I think that happens a lot.

Sorry you were so disappointed! :(
 
That's really sad, but not very surprising. That's why I left DST a year ago. I wanted to go, because I think Kristy is a doll and her products were the first ones that I used when I was starting out 4 years ago. But, I figured there would be mass chaos, so I just stayed away.
 
I have very strong feelings about DST so I'll keep them to myself. But, I really dislike chats because of that. I love going to our Friday night chats here because we goof off and have a good time, but any chat that announces there will be goodies or a chance to win goodies is going to bring out the weirdos.
 
I've never been to a chat here (lol - b/c after my computer crashed I had never reinstalled Java) but now I am totally scared! :)

I may have to try it though!
 
Don't be scared to come to the ones here...we don't bite much...and we NEVER talk about boobies or hawt men...
 
LOL..and that's why I'M scared...just kidding...I have really backed away from DST as well...a lot of the time I feel like it's a lot of people trolling for free stuff, I enjoy it much more in the the forums here and at the store where I sell...and the chats here are fun, even the boobie and hot men talk...lol...I just sit and "listen"
 
I stayed away from chats cos they moved too fast and sometimes it's way too hard to comprehend.. But maybe I should check out the chats here.. :)
 
I've never been to a chat at DST; however, I've popped into the chat here and have had a great time. :) With the number of people at DST, I guess I've always just figured that the chat would be going way too fast for me!
 
I :wub: our chats here.... I have no need nor desire to chat anywhere else whether freebies are offered or not. Besides, I kinda like not talking about boobies or hawt men...

I think it really stinks that some people are so rude and disruptive to everyone else!
 
That is too sad that people have to be that way! I received the email about the chat and thought no way! I totally :wub: our Friday night chats! They are the bestest! I don't even want to go anywhere else!
 
I actually popped in, not because of freebie or prizes but because I love shappy princess and wanted to say hello. However Im a blonde and missed it all together LOL I think everyone was leaving. Its a shame that people try to take advantage and or ruin a good thing like that :( It was my first dst chat (if I should even count it as a chat LOL) And Im not sure I would be running back anytime soon. I do love dst though! IM a total junky!
 
I've never been to a DST chat. I hardly go to DST anymore anyway, except to post layouts since that's my most complete gallery.

I wish I could chat here, but everytime I've tried to go into the chat room, my browser just locks up!! POOOOOO!!!!
 
Oh that's too bad! :( I have never been to a chat at DST. I tried to go to a chat on NSD with Flergs, but it was insane. I couldn't follow anything at all!

So I stick to instant messaging with my peeps and I have really been enjoying the friday chats here lately (though I've only made it twice, lol!)
 
One of these days we're gonna have to have a boobies and hot men chat on a day I can come play. I always have to work on Friday nights :(

lol just demand everyone go into chat randomly one day, I'm sure it will happen for you :D

I wasn't there... I was in la la land. I love miss SP-- that is completely irrelevant, but I felt like throwing that out there :D
 
I just reinstalled Java and finally was able to see chats again -- and now I'm scared to join in on any more!

I just reinstalled Java last night!! I didn't even know about the DST chat so obviously I wasn't there. I just [heart] SP though and would have loved to stop in to say hi to her but it sounds like that wouldn't have been possible with the way some of the people there were acting. What a shame. :(
 
I'm like Sarah, I love DST, I just try to stick to its positives and avoid the drama for the most part. (except, of course, when it finds me whether I like it or not :D but that's a whole other topic... or good fodder for Friday night chats :D :D)

I've never attempted to attend a chat there, though, and can't imagine I ever will. Too insane, even if people were well behaved. That's a real shame they were such vultures. It's amazing just how many people have no concept of class and decent manners, particularly when the word "free" gets tossed into the equation. :thumbdown:

Definitely don't be afraid of Friday night chats here! They're good times. And, nope, we never talk about boobies, hotties or anything like that.
 
well... we *could* have chats here once a while, right? I mean not just on friday nights? The chat room works other times of the week, right?
I'd looooooove to have a chat with some of our designers here sometime! But it's cool that many of you hang out in the forums too.

I havn't been back to DST in about a year either. I think Shannon is amazing, but I just couldn't get to know anyone, I got trashed for small opinion differences and just really couldn't find *my place*. Love it here. :)

I'm sorry the chat was such a disaster. :(
