silly question about signatures

I see all these lovely siggies that are centered and have three blinkies in them. When ever I try to put more than two, i get a message with something about it not being able to have it more than 500 somethings across,lol.
Which means, I am limited to only 2 at best. And I don't want my signature to be 4 or 5 siggies deep; i think it takes too long to get from post to post that way and having to keep scrolling, if yknim.
Sooo, what am I doing wrong,lol? My things are in photobucket, i add them right obviously, because I HAVE a signature,lol.
 
Try going to tinyurl.com (or something like that).
It'll take your photobucket url and shrink it, and then you can add more.
Also, make sure you're not hitting enter after putting the img code in. Just a space or two, and then you should be fine :)
 
I shorten the names of my blinkies so that they fit. For instance, if it's Christy's CT blinkie, then I rename it cl.gif.
 
never thought about it being the urls,lol. what's funny tho, at the time I had it aligned to the left, I had three of them together,lol. This happened when I centered them.
I'll try tinypics. Never heard of them before. thanks all.:)

The little bit of code required to center them probably pushed you over the character limit. Shortening the names, like Paula suggested, and using something like tinyurl (is it tinypics, I thought it was tinyurl?) will help a bunch.
 
YAY! Thanks for posting this! I have been having the worst time! I am still limited, but I fit soooo much more in! thanks girlies!
 
I recently subtracted from my signature for this reason ... maybe I'll take some of these tips. I did move my blinkies into their own folder to make the filename shorter ... maybe that will help a bit too. Thanks for your questions ... see, no question is a stupid question. Teachers have been preaching that one for years and no one ever believes them, lol. :)
