DH always calls from town after work to see if I need him to get anything before he comes home, because gas is so expensive, he doesn't want to have to go back in. Today was no different, and I asked him to pick up some pork chops to BBQ and I'd throw some potatoes in the oven...it's quick and easy.

Well, he walks in the door and I go to get the groceries from him, and he's holding a bouquet of flowers for me! I ripped it open, and it was a dozen roses! :thumbup: No occasion or anything (our anniversary isn't until December), he just felt like buying me some flowers. I haven't gotten flowers since...Mason was born?
 
that is sweet..i would LOVE for my husband to do something like that..now he DID buy me rosebushes though for valentine's day about 7 years ago and said i could have roses everyday....but ya know...a bouquet would ROCK! :) He does go hunting and sometimes bring me some sunflowers shoved in a broken beer bottle...does that count as a bouquet??! :)

Awwww, that's awesome! :) Love it when DH does little things like that! Mine brought home some pomegranate chip yogurt tonight- it's pretty good! Show us the flowers!!
 
My DH does that every once in a blue moon and it is so sweet when he does. Except for me it's my favorite, alstromeria (I'm not a rose fan). It's times like those you realize you do have a true gem in your hubby....

aww, so sweet! I haven't gotten flowers for no occasion in so long I can't remember. I did get a beautiful bouquet for our anniversary last year though.
 
They get fewer and futher between the longer you're married, so when they come, they mean so much. How sweet!
 
Very sweet!!! But I have to say, this is where my "practical" side shines through...my husband knows not to waste money on flowers for me...they are just gonna die...buy me some scrapbook stuff or something I can use!
