Update: Best Buy, WD, & my lappy

One week and 2 days after I took my laptop in for repairs Best Buy called and said it was DONE!!! Yahoo!!! I'm sooo happy.

On a sad note, it looks like my WD pink EHD is failing. I've only had it since January. I went onto their site, plugged in the serial number and......

THEY ARE REPLACING MY EHD!!!! They don't make the pink one anymore, but they said they'll either replace it with a comparable unit or a BETTER one depending on what they have in stock!

WOoohooO!!! I won't be scrapping for a few days though, cause I have to unload everything off of this hard drive so that I can send it in.

Wow girl! That's awesome that you got your lappy back and your getting your EHD replaced. Did you have everything backed up from the failing one?

I'm pretty good about backing up. I try to make it a point to back up the last weekend of the month. So, I'm about a month behind. Right now I'm transferring what I can over to another EHD.

The one the they are replacing is a little portable 250 gb. I also have a 120 gb Seagate (that I love, and I think in the future I'll only buy Seagate), a 500 gb WD My book, and another smaller EHD that I use only for photo backup and keep unplugged from my computer.

This is where my ACDSee database was, on the pink EHD. Ughhhhhh. I noticed a few weeks ago that some of my files had become corrupt, thankfully it was older scrap stuff and none of my Sweet Shoppe goodies.

WOOT! I'm glad your stuff is fixed AND WD is replacing your EHD! It won't be pink, but at least they are replacing it!
