I had a little tear in my eye....

This morning Mr. Eve and Sophia headed off to do the grocery shopping. Whilst they were shopping they came across a Barbie backpack in the "Back To School" section. Sophia fell in love and since I needed to buy her one for school, they picked it up. So they come home and in walks my baby with this backpack on her back, looking all grown up *sniff* I swear I just about started to cry on the spot. I refuse to accept that my baby girl is old enough to be starting school in 2 weeks. It's a dream and I will wake up..right? Right?

awwww! I with ya, girl. My oldest Chloe is starting too!!! We can be crying babies together, lol. I haven't taken her school shopping yet but i bet i'll be tearing up too.

Aww Eve, I hear ya! My youngest started Kindergarten last year and I swear that one was harder than my oldest. I felt like I had no more "babies". :( Big hugs to you!

Hugs sweety I totally know where you are coming from!! Lily is going into first grade this year and kindergarten was SUPER tough for me. Now shes going all day cause kindie here was only half day so shes gonna be gone all day :( We went back and forth with Wes and decided we will send him to preschool next year. He has a late birthday so I figured he could do prek at 4 and kindie at 5. I think im more attached then my kids are LOL

My son justn turned 5 and is headed to Kindergarten. I'm not really sad, more excited for him, but he was in MY class foir the past 2 years so I had time to get over that. Now when my baby girl goes, it'll be a diiferent story. Now she's going into the program I used to teach in with a different teacher than me... she's not 3 yet... that will be tough. They'll both be in my hallway though so I can get a quick peek. :)

aww - I think a lot of us are going through this. My baby..my wee little boy, will be graduating from the preK wing at church in two weeks and moving up to the big kids' wing (going into K), and I know I'm gonna cry when he goes to get his big kids' bag from the pastor. *sniff*

We haven't done our school supply shopping, yet...gotta get that done this week ..and he's gonna have a blast shopping for stuff. Even though we homeschool, the first of the year school supply shopping is STILL a must - even if it's just for mommy! LOL That was always my favorite thing to do.

Oh yeah, I would've teared up too had it been my little one! but my "little ones" are:
1. heading out for his senior year.
2. starting his sophomore year
3. my baby is going to 6th grade - the middle school - this year!

where the heck does the time go???

Oh and how's this for a question asked by my 11 year old dd Thursday evening as we were watching TV - Mom, how old do I have to be to start shaving my legs? 'Cause there are other girls my age that do and I don't want to be teased.

Awww, so cute Eve that she found a barbie backpack she wanted and is excited about school I hear ya tho on the growing up thing! I'm going to have a teenager in October! How did that happen!?

Awww, Eve! Mason starts 1st grade in a few weeks, and Natalie wants to go to school SOOO bad (I broke her heart the other day telling her she's not going to kindergarten this year).

Oh I dreading the first day of K. I already told Billy he has to take the morning off so he can go with us. Someone will have to pry me off of my child!

My middle DD Amelia is going to Kindergarten this year, and was adamant she had to have a Strawberry Shortcake backpack. She has it hanging on the back of her door, she's so proud of it! Next year, Rae goes to kindergarten and I'll be home alone. I'm not sure what I'll do then!

Aww thanks ladies!! I guess this is hitting me extra hard because I had such a horrible time in school and I really wanted to continue with homeschooling, but I made a deal with DH (who is not behind homeschooling a whole lot) that I would at least try public school if Sophia showed interest and she did, so here we are.

Mr. Eve is taking the first 3 days of school off and we are all going to drop her off and pick her up. Luca is so sad though "his best friend is going away", poor little guy!

(((Eve))) Now you can spoil your little man all day and not feel guilty! lol Hugs..it'll get easier

My middle child is starting prek this year (she's 4) and my oldest two are going to school instead of homeschooling this year..so ev1 is super excited (even mom!)

I did most of our supply shopping yesterday. Walmart was NUTS

and shaving..I went thru the same thing with my oldest. I don't remember how old I was when I started shaving, but I let her in I think I was in 5th grade. She started shaving last summer when she turned 11. She hates to shave now though haha (don't we all)

I know how you feel Eve. My oldest starts kindergarten in 3 weeks. We got a letter from the teacher yesterday saying what the kids would be responsible for & what the parents would need to do adn I was fine with it until I read the bit about "parents will drop their children off at the front of school and the children will walk themselves to their classroom." For some reason that was just too much for me. What do you mean I have to let him go??? :(

Awwwwww Eve!! I'm right there with you!! Kaylea starts in just a little over a week! I'm sure going to miss her little self around the house.

OH and we got a Littlest Pet Shop backpack! :p We don't like dolls ( ?)
