Forum Challenges Question

Last month was my first month participating in these forum challenges...I received the big discount...and now I think I am hooked! lol I have a main folder holding all the SSD kits I have bought...to make it convenient for me to grab a kit and scrap these challenges.

My question is this...I've been using the Challenge Tracker to know when NEW challenges are posted...but are they posted only on a certain day of the week or is it random? Just wondering...as I'm trying to get all the bowling league layouts done this week (my goal) and I'd like to do some "fishy recipes" for my cookbook...if I can find a challenge to fit them...

Just wondering if there is a quick way to find out the moment a new challenge is posted?

Thanks!

Most of the challenges are posted on Wed (some of them alternate weeks, but I couldn't tell you for sure which ones). The only exception to the Wed rule is 52 Card Pickup which is posted on Saturdays and the Color Confectionery on the blog, which is on Fridays.

New challenges come out on wednesday.
New blog is posted thursday.
New color challenge is posted friday.
New 52 card pickup is posted saturday.
New spin-a-lift is posted sunday.

All challenges are linked in the Challenge Tracker thread for the month.

This was my first month for sweet rewards too (totally addicting by the way) but something I didn;t know is that you don't have to use SSD products for challenges, so if you have a layout you love that fits the challenge but uses a different designer you can still submit it.

Of course, I have so much SSD stuff, this is rarely a problem for me! :) Off to spend those rewards...

Correct. If you create a LO for a challenge, it does not have to use SSD product.
If you create a LO not for a challenge, it must include SSD products in order for it to be uploaded into the gallery.

...but if you want a point towards sweet rewards it needs to be for a challenge AND with SSD products...right?

Thanks for all the info!

You get a point for doing the challenge regardless of whether or not you use SSD product.
If you want to use SSD product, and it's a new release that week, you can earn 1 extra point (so 2 points), unless it's a LO for the shutterbug and then the LO only gets 1 point even if you're using a new product.

Well son of a gun I had missed that point completely! <pardon the pun> :p Thanks for clearing that up for me! Although I do like getting those two pointers! lol Thanks!
