Did any of you ladies get cramps before you found out you were pregnant or in the early stages of your pregnancy?

I never did with my son. This afternoon I was on my way to the store for a pregnancy test when I started cramping really bad. Horribly, like I was having contractions. So I turned around and came home thinking I was going to get my period. Well, still nothing. Usually for me they happen at the same time so I was confused. Ever since my son's birth I've had a very irregular cycle and I haven't had a period since May. I have taken 2 tests and both were negative. I will probably go buy another tonight but I wanted to see if anyone got cramps and were pregnant.

Me too... I got horrible cramps for about a week when I was 3 weeks allong. I thought I was having an ectopic pregnancy
 
Oh yes! They were like the worst cramps ever, at least i thought that until after I gave birth to my little darling! That's why I freak out every month the day before I start my period. I always get cramps and I am so paranoid that they are pregnancy cramps! :) From what I understand, it's the embryo implanting in the uterine lining.
 
Yeah, when I just barely found out I was preggo, I had cramps like my period was coming.... I was so paranoid.... but I guess it's just normal!
 
Could be implantation ... that can cause some cramping. Or, maybe not. But either way, I wish you good luck!
 
Thanks ladies! I never did cramp with my son so I didn't know if that was something that was normal. Guess I really better get the test now!
