Mac Girls - question for you...

So, I just decided to switch platforms from PC to Mac. I used ACDSee as my photo manager on my PC but it does not work on a Mac. What do you Mac gals use?

Is iPhoto the thing to use?

I use iphoto for my pictures and love it

For my digi stuff I use a thing called picturearena (no longer being updated)

I know some people use iviewmedia - i think its the *closest* thing to acdsee but it is pretty different and also pretty pricey.

There is also shoebox. I know jessica sprague taught a class on this one for people to get to know it but I think there are lots of glitches and stuff with it.

I used iPhoto for both my photos and my scrapping stash, but I have them in separate libraries. I also use iPhoto Library Manager to easily organize different libraries and switch between the two. This program has a free version and a paid version, which has a few more features. I use Keyword Manager for tagging and keeping track of my stash. I LOVE Keyword Manager! iPhoto does have a built in keyword system, but I think it's a pain to use. There is also a free trail version of Keyword Manager but I went ahead and purchased it and haven't been disappointed.

lydia do you find iphoto gets bogged down with all your scrap supplies? i haven't used iphoto for it because i've heard too slow etc..
