Okay ladies, who's with me? Why is it that I can't find a single tank top or cute night shirt without a damn built-in bra or that stupid elastic line where a perfectionly proportioned woman's boobs would/should end?

I bought a really cute night shirt on sale at the Gap (http://www.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=5941&pid=551742&scid=551742022)(<--- linked...cute, right?) yesterday not thinking that the built-in elastic strip would be a problem. I just wasn't thinking....
IT IS!! :cursing: I swear that elastic strip brings the shirt DOWN further (let's be honest....it does NOTHING for holding the boobs UP) and I just look like a hooker with my cleavage hanging out! Now I'm thinking I have to return it.

Anyone else frustrated with this? I hate it!!!!

LOL, I am very um "blessed" in the boobie department and all those shirts just get on my nerves! They wind up pulling down and I don't need the help showing off my goodies! LOL... They stick out on their own!

Good luck!

Hehehe I am one that LOOKS for the built in bra. They work great for me and I hate having to mess with a real bra.

I would agree with you with sleepware tho!

*just a little disclaimer: I am definitely not perfectionly proportioned hehe :p

:)

I'm glad I'm not alone. I can totally understand why it's a great thing if it fits you correctly. I suppose my frustration is that it's really difficult to find tank tops/sleepwear tanks withOUT that option now.

Couldn't we all just get along and have both options for 1 style of clothing? I'm calling a meeting of all the fashion designers/clothing companies of the world! UNITE!

I like them sometimes, not others...it kind of depends. I can get away with not wearing a regular bra underneath those...when I'm skinny. When I'm fat like I am now, I need a bra underneath (the girls shrink when I lose weight), so they are useless. :D

I don't like them for nightwear in any way, I like to be unobstructed then LOL :D

LOL, that will never happen! :) But I totally agree, there have to be some out there that don't have that stupid elastic in there! It's just plain annoying!

Ummm yeah totally agree...they get on my nerves and my husband who is a great man otherwise gets on my nerves when I wear them because he makes little comments about how much you can see. So I find myself pulling them up all day not that it lasts long because it gets up to high so I find myself pulling it back down. Alot of times I cut the bra out so that I dont have to deal with it LOL

Apparently I'm in the minority because I happen to love them. I'm wearing one right now in fact, haha. I guess I don't have the problem with pulling up and down because I have no idea what you all are talking about. :D I'm rather small though so that's probably why.

Oh I HATE those things!! I will not buy a shirt with one! I have big boobs and I always have to wear a bra- no matter what kind of bra is in the shirt it never works to keep the girls up so it serves no purpose and just looks dumb.

That is a really cute shirt though Mikkel!

omgosh yes! I can NOT not wear a real bra-- and those things are useless.. When I went shopping for grown up clothes (lol) to wear to my grandmothers funeral I NEEDED a nice tank top/cami to throw under the shirt I bought... omg......................... every single thing had a stupid shelf bra in it! I was going loony!! *ok I feel better now :D*

I use to hate them because my former boobs were almost one inch above my knees... but now with my copyrighted boobs I love to wear them.

What I don't like is the stuff inside became a mess when you put them in the washer
