Critter fears?

What are you scared of? Which bugs, reptiles, etc... creep you out the most?
I ask because right now I have shut myself up in the computer room with my robe stuffed under the bottom of the door to ensure that this frightening creature doesn't get near me. I attempted to take him out with the broom but he was too fast for me, so I ran. Shut my daughter's door, my bedroom door, and tucked my tail and hid. LOL! The hubby will be home from work in a few so I'm about to be screaming "kill the bug, don't open the door!".
I think it's a june bug? The thing is huge. I swear I was about to cry. I can hear it clicking :D

Ok, the hubster is home and attacking it at the moment. He says it might be a cicada but it's bigger.
 
stop it! get it out now...you can do it. :p i'm frightened of most critters but it wouldn't stop me from splatting its guts out with a boot. i'm no buddhist.
 
Oh I HATE june bugs. Any spider that has hair gives me major heebie jeebies and I loathe ants when there are lots of them.....plus dragon flies scare me half to death and anything that bites or stings!

LOL! I am such a wimp when it comes to anything that creeps and crawls... I'm especially afraid of spiders! :eek:
 
I'm not really afraid of anything critter wise.. Well unless you count roaches-- but that's more of a deep disgust. One of my old neighbors.. had roaches (which means we all did.. ) anyway.. they had put the roach killy bate in the apartments and what not.. but I went one day.. to get a roll of TP out of the cupboard to give to ce... and.. out fell a dead roach. I freaked out.. and dumped an entire bottle of bleach on it. :D but yeh.......... LOL that's more of a dirt/disgusting/germ-a-phobe issue.

Im ok with most crawly things, its the flying things I can't stand! I'm freaked out by moths more than anything. Bees, wasps and other things that can sting me get a little bit of reaction, but no where near as bad as moths :D :D I dunno why.. its not like they can hurt me.. I think I just hate those bits of dust that they leave behind :glare:

Oh, and I hate slugs. I always have. Everytime I saw a slug when I was a kid, I would cover it in salt.... and then get told off by mum because it always left a sticky, slimy, gooey mess the next day!! :D :D :D :D :D If I step on one, the whole neighbourhood knows about it from my screams!! :p
 
Spiders...well...just the poisonous ones. I've had 2 close encounters with black widows and I'm SOOO paranoid one will bite DS or myself.
 
Bigger than a cicada... OMG!!

I'm not too afraid of most creatures but I do get SERIOUSLY grossed out by LARGE bugs or spiders. EEEEWWWW! I do have a slight fear of earwigs simply because they look so evil.
 
Snakes...SNAKES.
I have a phobia where SNAKES are concerned.
I get creeped out just typing it honestly.
 
If it is a cicada, I don't blame you Amy! I would be hiding too! Those things freak me out! brrr, i got the shivers thinking about it! lol
 
roaches....I hate them with a passion. In FL we have a huge ones that make my skin crawl.

snakes are also very high on the never come near me list as well.
 
I hate BIG bugs of most types, cicadas, beetles etc. The last couple years, we've had these in our yard:

A running hair drier has been dropped into your bubble bath", and mmediate, excruciating pain that simply shuts down one's ability to do anything, except, perhaps, scream." [You can see I researched these when I first saw one in our yard] Needless to say, they freak me out.

SNAKES!!!! I have had no less then four snakes INSIDE my home since Ive lived here. I think when it rains alot they start moving?? I dont know whatever causes it I freak. Palmetto bugs which are basically giant cockraoches freak me out and finally spiders. Spiders dont bother me if I just see one and neither does a palmetto bug but I dont want them to get near me. Snakes though I cant even look at and the worst part is both my son and my husband love them. And the worst is that when I take my son out to the busstop and a spider has spun a web overnight across a trail that we walk through and I walk into said web!! You know he/she is still in that web and probably now on me somewhere. Then you start to imagine the spider crawling on you :(

I'm doing better with my spider issues. But that's only because when I go on bridge inspections I'm often stuck in small dark places, or high dark places, where spiders are all "WOOT! This place rocks!!" Last year that was a spider the size of my hand, NO JOKE. That one almost gave me a heart attack.

Spiders in the house I don't freak out about unless it's on the bed. That, I HATE!

I think the worst thing with bugs, is that they usually surprise the crap out of you. It wouldn't be so bad if they carried little signs that said HEY! LOOK OUT FOR ME! I'M A BUG YOU DON'T LIKE! But when you're washing dishes in the kitchen and a bug flies in front of your face, or crawls across the counter, or my favorite - when a spider drops down from the ceiling RIGHT in front of your face and you're afraid to scream because what if the intake of breath brings it closer to you and you accidentally swallow it!?!? Yea.

I read somewhere that you actually inhale dozens of spiders in your lifetime while you are asleep :crying: :eek:
 
June bugs are the scariest bug I can imagine! I have curly hair, and if a june bug should happen to fly into it... It's like taking one of those little personal fans and sticking right into my hair. I shudder just thinking of it!!
 
OMG Bees, wasps anything that stings scares the crap out of me! I also am wichked afraid of spiders and water bugs YUCK!
 
I hate crickets cause they are so gross looking and when you squish them, ewww! I also hate grasshoppers cause they jump so high and stick to you. Moths are gross cause they always fly for your hair. Fast moving spiders in the house freak me out cause its so hard to kill them. Any bugs in the house gross me out though. I hate that.
 
SPIDERS! Always been terrified of them. I've managed to train myself not to panic as long as they don't surprise me, and catch and release, because I do know they ultimately do good. But the big and hairy ones, like the wolf spiders we get here, turn me into an absolute freak show most times.
 
I hate bugs period! LOL!!!

I have a total fear of spiders! I always tell them they just need to stay away from me and I won't kill them.
 
DH has been to Africa a few times and has had to clear his "room" of Camel Spiders before bed (which is realy a mat on the floor)... he said the thing was "not very big... about the size of my hand". He said if he had seen a full-sized one he would have screamed like a girl. :blink:
 
I am not really scared of any bugs. I am allergic to yellow jacks but I just try to advoid them

I can't believe I telling this..

The only thing that really scares me and leaves me crying and locked up in the car or anywhere else is a frog...I can not stand them. They scare me so bad..
 
Snakes, spiders, bees, wasps scares me.

I actually sallowed a bee while drinking my pop when i was young...

and snakes, can't even think of , i remmy there was a man speaking at my middle school, and he didn't have all of his fingers, bec a snake bit them off, but that didn't stop him from working with them.

and i remmy watching a show that happened to have a snake on it, and i couldn't watch it and my uncle was laughing at me, he didn't undy that it really scared me, i was crying, my grandma gave him hell ofc... lol
