Hug your babies...

...and keep them safe. I had jury duty today and the trial just makes me sick thinking about it. I am reaaaaaaallllly hoping I don't get called back on Tuesday to serve on the case because it is so awful. I can't say what the case is about because I'm under oath.... but I had to run home and hug my baby....

I can only imagine. So many sick people out in this world today. I just dont understand what motivates someone to hurt a child like that. Just really sad

One of the many reasons why I am so protective of my grandbabies. So my DD. She is so protective of her girls that she even flew DH & I to Germany so we could babysit for a week while she traveled to Vegas on a business trip. I was glad to do it too. That way Nonnie didn't have to worry about them. I sure hope you don't get called back. I can only imagine what it's about and I DON'T like what I am thinking either. Too many sick people out there. :cursing:

Well, sweetie, I kinda hope you don't get called back, but on the other hand, we need good people serving on juries and making the right decisions too. Still, for your sake, I hope they pick someone else!

Oh girl, how terrible!! Extra hugs for my kiddos, and ((big hugs)) to you for having to deal with a case like that! I hope they don't call you back!!

Oh, that's terrible. I am betting they take all mommies off the jury in this case, just based on your initial response.

Thanks for the reminder... it's easy to forget sometimes what a blessing these babies are! I hope you don't have to go back to Jury duty! You'll just have to say something absurd to get kicked out of the jury pool. ;)

ALso wanted to add hope you dont have to go back. I have always wondered what they actually do for the people who have to sit on these juries after the trial is over. It has to be very traumatic to see/hear all the horrible things some of these people do.

Im so sick even thinking about it for ya!! I hope you dont have to worry about being called back, I just got called for Jury duty the end of this month yuck!

Oh, don't get me wrong! I totally agree. I believe in our jury system... it's fundamental to our judicial process... but this is too much. I almost started crying on the way home thinking about it. THey mentioned the type of evidence that would be presented and I'm pretty sure if I was on the jury, I'd cry... or hurl... if I saw it. It's the type of case that would really get to me...

I know, Megan. :) I didn't mean to suggest that you didn't take it seriously or anything. I wouldn't worry -- if you gave any hint of your reaction, the defense won't want you anywhere near their jury.

Jury duty is never easy - I'm so glad I've never been picked. Maybe - hopefully - the defense will look at the jury candidates and realize they have no chance of getting a sympathetic jury and decide to plea bargain. That would be best for everyone. I don't understand how anyone could defend people who harm children, nevermind how anyone can do those things to begin with.

wow! I hope that whatever is supposed to happen, will be what happens... kwim? That child may need YOU. I can't even imagine how awful the trial would be. Let us know if you get called back. I'll be thinking about ya!

Hugs!

Will do girl -- and with many mommy tears as school starts today and for me -- it's one of the most emotional days of the year!

That's horrible, I can't see how anyone can hurt someone so little and defenseless. I'm with you, I don't think I could stomach a case like that. {{{Hugs}}}
