Gonna be scarce today

I am FINALLY getting my genealogy website all buttoned up and beautiful!! I moved to a new host and in the process, I am cleaning up and updating files! I don't know how long it will take because this site has over 700 html files on it and the copyright stamp says 2003! :blink:

I'll miss you all today my girls!! Try not to have too much fun without me.

How great that you have such a website!! My mom is into genealogy a lot, too, but she's definitely not nerdy enough to have such a thing as a site! LOL Good luck with the move!!

I hope it goes smoothly for you. My BIL has a site with DH's family going beack centuries. He's been wanting to make changes to it but dreads having to deal with it.

Wow, that's terrific! I gotta show this to my mom, she'll be jealous! LOL We also got back to the beginning of 1800's, but with much much much more blanks than you!

I haven't touched our genealogy since 1999... because that is what the file says it was last edited! I got into scrapbooking and haven't caught up...was planning on getting into genealogy big time when my baby got into 1st grade...then I could travel to the next State and spend all the day researching. Ummm he's in 7th grade this year and I'm homeschooling him. Whoops!

We just brought the old program up on the laptop however because our Science Club is studying genealogy this month...and dh's aunt gave us a box of "memory" books from releatives that have passed on. So we're scanning those books and will extract the information from them and add to our database. There are a handful of newspaper clippings...including one about a relative being a pony express rider...and I thought that was a rumor! Sure enough...there are the names in the articles. lol My youngest can also get a Boy Scout Merit Badge by researching our genealogy!

Paula, I checked your line...only "Davis" was a common ancestor name with us...will have to check it later when the other laptop is not in use.

Paula are you going to make a genealogy kit now that you have your website set up??? <hint hint>
