Normally that wouldn't excite me, lol...but DH spent the past week renovating and getting my new laundry room finished. It's not TOTALLY done...it still needs to be taped/filled and painted...but he put up the wall, boarded it, put in the flooring, did the duct work for the dryer and moved the plumbing over for the washer. Yesterday we put up a wire shelf above the washer and dryer and I got it all organized. YAY! So, I'm doing laundry today, lol.

Our laundry area used to be in our kitchen, and when you walked in the front door, the mess in front of the washer and dryer was the FIRST thing you saw. It was SO annoying! Now I've got a room for all the dirty laundry (and clean laundry, lol), and my kitchen looks clutter-free! :)

I'm envious! Mine is STILL in kitchen area and worse yet the laundry room is the pantry too..so the kids go in there and pull food off the shelves and cereal gets poured in my laundry and cans of food get lost in the laundry and it just TICKS me off to no end. Not to mention it is supposed to have bi-fold doors but one fell down almost a year ago and dh has YET to put it back up so you can see EVERYTHING! you'll have to show us pics when you get it all purdy :)

LOL, Amy...do you happen to live in a trailer? :p My old laundry area is now my pantry...well, it will be, once we get it drywalled and put up bi-fold doors (there were some up there originally, before we got the place, but when the moron put in the new floor - which we're pulling up - he didn't put them back in). I say my kitchen looks clutter-free, but that's just as clutter-free as it can be when I've got half my floor pulled up and I can see the insulation and electrical on several of the walls where we pulled off the ugly old panel board. While DH was working on the plumbing for the laundry room, he did a little bit more and made our portable dishwasher into a built-in - which rocks because now when I do dishes, it doesn't take up my entire kitchen work area.
