I recently had some software upgrades the automatic ones for Vista and for the past week I've lost my bookmarks and my home page.
I'm running Mozilla Firefox and every time I open it up my bookmarks are all gone and my homepage goes to Mozilla it's so annoying as I've done my bookmarks 3 times already..
Anyone have any tips or ideas why it's happening, I'm ready to throw my laptop out the window.:cursing:

no idea, I have all my upgrades for Vista and haven't had any problems. Sorry.

Vista is from hell. Sorry you are going through this. I just switched over to Mac because I couldn't take the volatility anymore.

I dunno, but my Firefox (the latest version) has been acting wonky since I downloaded it. Once in a while I get the Mozilla splashpage as my homepage and have to go into my preferences and fix it, though I haven't lost my bookmarks. It's crashing several times a day, and didn't used to do that. And then there are the weird things it's been doing like making the SSD header disappear ONLY on the forums/gallery for 2 days, and most recently not letting the quick reply or edit buttons work here for about a week. Odd! I talked to others with the most recent Firefox and they haven't had any problems, so I'm guessing that it's something to do with my computer, lol.

I have no idea. I've had mine for a while and have all my updates. No problems for me. Have you tried googling for an answer?

you should be able to export your bookmarks to a file, that you should be able to reload easily, should it happen again.

Go to Bookmarks, Organize Bookmarks and then File/Export and save it wherever you want.

I re-save mine once a month, in case I add or delete links to my bookmarks.

I have the foxmarks add on.. so that my bookmark are stored on a server... thus, I never lose them

Have you thought about trying to do a restore to before the most recent updates? I've had problems with a few updates and going back worked really well for me.

Sorry you are having this problem at all though, that really stinks!
