scrapping schedule?!

do you ladies have a schedule you stick with during the week (re: scrapping)?

now that school has started i feel like a routine is necessary. like scrapping on monday, wed and friday. then go to the gym on the other days. and maybe try not to be on the computer much on saturdays (keep it as a family day).

i just feel so off balance. what do you all do to keep the harmony in the house? i know my scrapping has my hubby a little confused. help me, if you can. :D

LOL...I went through a time when I swear my DH thought I was cheating on the internet because I was scrapping so much. Now I scrap when L.J.'s in school mon/wed/fri and then sometimes on tues/thurs if he takes a nap. I've learned to scrap faster to not spend so much time with it.

I also tend to scrap more toward the end of the week since that is when all the SSD designers post the new kits.

Hope you find something that works for you soon!

I so need a schedule too. Not just for days, but for which designer on which days, you know? I am going to be watching this to see what others do. right now I scrap at nap times and at bedtime....well not just scrap, but I do my online stuff then anyways....

Well, my schedule now is totally different than when DH is home. When he's here I don't scrap in the evenings at all usually.

Right now..I scrap early morning and sometimes in the afternoon. DS is at an age now where he really gets into playing alone and after 3 years of wanting my constant attention I'm enjoying it lol..so while he's occupied I'll scrap. I'm a fast scrapper too though so that helps..I can usually get a layout done in under an hour.

Weekends are no different for us right now since DH is deployed...just like any other day around here.

I scrap when the boys are in bed at night on Sun-Thurs if I don't have anything else planned to do. I'm fortunate that my DH works out on those nights so it's not like he's feeling left out. Then on Friday nights it's our date night and then on Saturdays it's usually the day we do most day trips and such so I'm too tired to even think about it.

It is hard to find a balance between scrapping and "life", I think everyone is different. I just feel terrible doing anything during the day when I should be spending time with the boys so I don't do any scrapping until they are off to bed.

I keep a page open all day and work on it in between caring for the boys... I try to get a page done a day, at least, especially since I'm on 7 CTs right now.

I totally know what you mean, Lizzy... Harmony is something I strive to have each day! There are so many things to do and so little time... I want to plan my time without sacrificing time for family and especially DH who has had so much patience with me since I've become such a scrap addict... I, myself, have been thinking about this, too, lately and wonder what y'all ladies do to keep the whole house happy while still enjoying time to scrap...

I scrap after the kids go to bed usually, and if I do scrap in the daytime, it's usually only when I have an idea to run with, or if one of my designers needs something asap. Otherwise, I leave it til night time.

ETA that I try to not scrap on Saturdays, but it's HARD with all the new releases LOL. I do scrap on Sundays after I houseclean, it's called Scrappin Sunday LOL

I usually scrap a few nights a week after my girls go to bed. I wish I had more scrapping time but with a 2 year old and 10 month old I don't have much me time.

I scrap through the day, but then, I've got the laptop with me wherever I go... it's a sickness really. I do the bulk of my scrapping late at night, when the kids are in bed and my work is done.

Here's mine:
6:00 - 8:00 am - clean up house/breakfast/kids to school
8:15 am - scrap/gallery praise/forums
12:00 - lunch
12:15 - more scrap/gallery praise/forums
3:00 - kids home from school/homework
4:00 - 6:00 - cook dinner/eat dinner/clean up from dinner
6:15 - shower
6:45 - midnight - scrap/gallery praise/forums

I usually scrap in the mornings while kids are sleeping, or during naps. I don't usually scrap at night because my poor hubby gets jealous of the computer time.

what about "hubby time"??? i mean...

I scrap twice a week but do something "creative" everyday: go to forums, download kits, tag photos, make sketches on my notebook. So that when I scrap, I get to finish many pages :)

I usually scrap in the afternoons. My mornings are spent catching up on forums & blogs and I get off the computer at 6 nearly every day and don't get back on.

I scrap in bits & pieces, in between cleaning and playing/refereeing the kids

You know what? Since Dh's schedule just recently changed, it's gotten a lot harder to scrap... he used to work 2pm to 10pm, so I'd scrap after the kids were in bed and before he got home.
Now he works 10am to 6pm, so I don't get on the computer when he's home... it's a serious dent.

I usually scrap at night, well I am trying to keep just to nighttime now that I'll be back teaching in a week. It's not bad on the wife, as she is in the midst of writing her first novel, so we usually just sit together with our laptops....What I do find hard is balancing time btwn. scrapping, the forum and gallery, blogs, and still designing. I have to find a good rhythm soon, so that I won't be crazy when school starts.

I'm an evenings during the week and before the boys wake (or during naps) on the weekends. I work full time during the week, so sometimes I have slim pickings.

I couldn't have said it better! Now that I'm back to work, scrapping hasn't been happening :(

Whenever I get a free minute, which isn't easy with 4 little ones!! But I tend to scrap in clusters. I'll get a good stretch of time where the baby is sleeping and the older three are outside playing and I can crank out 3 or 4 pages, but then I might not scrap again for a week!!

Some times my DH will have "work" to do after work and after the kids are in bed and we will sit in the office together talking and chatting while he works and then I can scrap (like tonight)...but that might only happen once a week. I am ususally not on the computer after 4 PM....that's my babies cranky time and he has to be attached to me e.v.e.r.y. second!!!

No kiddo's = lots of scrap time for me.
Plus, Jordan's usually down the hall playing video games or watching tv. We have our days with extra us time where we'll snuggle and watch a movie or something, but usually he snuggles me to sleep at night and then watches tv. He's always up later than I am.

But yea. We're not real clingy or needy, so we both get to do what we want. I scrap, or eat paste or read a book or whatever. It's awesome :)

I have no schedule. I have really cut down my scrap time lately to do other things (gasp) and spend more time with the girls. I always do something scrap related (forums/scrapping/etc) first thing in the morning while I'm eating breakfast and the girls are watching something. Then definitely nap time. I wish I scrapped more at night but I can't stay up too late and I do feel the need to spend more time with my hubby. Of course, there are many nights when we will do our own things, but we try to spend at least a little time together each night.

I've been thinking I need to set up some sort of daily schedule. One of these days . . .

i scrap mostly in evenings/night b/c I feel more creative then. probably very related to not having kids around.

I have no schedule...I scrap when I can and that is about it. Once the kids go back to school ( ALL of them ) I will have at least 2.5 FULL hours to be alone and scrap my little heart out ( and hopefully be productive) I am on a bunch of CT's so I will crank out layouts for them first and foremost and then if I have time left over I can scrap with the 1,000's of other kits I own....I have enjoyed all of these posts so maybe I can come up with a sensible schedule that will keep me motivated and my house clean too!!!!! I can never find a clean road between the two no matter how hard I try. I am sure one or a few of you have the same problem

what about "hubby time"??? i mean...

I'm wondering what definition of "hubby time" you mean... LMAO!

As for just normal spending time... because my DH is as much a computer freak as me (he's an online poker player), we normally end up camped out in the living room or in our room, both on the computers. It sounds crazy, but it works for us. We hang out that way for a few hours each night and it's actually really nice.

As for the other thing... Luckily my DH isn't one of those people that turns in early... LOL!

I don't have any schedule and I think I need it. :)
I scrap during the day when my DD takes a nap (she still naps twice a day at 1,5 years which is pretty comfortable for me :) ) but not everytime. In the evening, my DH goes for a run most days so I have another hour or two to scrap.
But I'd like bring a bit more balance, go for a swim one evening a week or so.

I'm pretty much a weekend scrapper, since i work full time. But i do try to do 1-2 layouts/hybrid on the weekdays, kind of like my resolution now hehe.

If we put a movie in at night, I might hop on and scrap a page then. Sometimes I wait till Libby goes to bed. Most nights I'm just ready to wind down then too. Lately, I've been scrapping like a fool on the weekends. I can stay up late and scrap during her naps. I don't have a set schedule, but I almost feel like I should.

I am pretty much a weekend scrapper

Now that school is back in session and I have 3 gone most of the day, I scrap while my other 2 nap or something. I browse and chat though and end up with no LOs done lol

no i mean, like in the evenings before my scrapping addiction dh and i would hang in the family room, cuddle, watch some shows. make out...lol!! no really just hang and now i find that i want that time to scrap. hmmm....maybe spend an hour or so scrapping then another hour or so hanging with dh. i don't know. :p

Well, my DH and I pretty much lead our own lives. After 20 years of marriage - we know each other so well. LOL He does occasionally help me with journaling on LOs. I am doing his church mission and childhood LOs and he's been helping me with that.

See, I got skills cuz I got my DH into my scrap obsession! LOL

lol! This is sooooo us! DH is addicted to WOW and we both have laptops... we sit in the family room next to eachother and do our own thing! It is so much better for us now because before digi I used to beg him for attention all the time and I used to get really upset about it. Now I have my own thing and we are perfectly content on our lappys!

I scrap throughout the day. DD takes three good naps everyday, so I can get lots done. Plus I stay up until midnight every night. ;)
