Why do I have such a hard time putting 2 photos on a page?!...One photo? no problem...3 or more...no sweat... but give me just two and I cannot come up with a photo arrangement I like!! UGH!!

Sorry, I've been messing around with the same layout for nearly an hour now lol :cursing:

Give me some inspiration :)

I say what Bree says - use her templates for some great inspiration!

Here are a few of mine layouts:

Yeah, 2 photo layouts are definitely NOT my forte!! For some reason the odd numbers are the easiest and I'm not sure why!!

I have a couple. Don't know how inspirational they are, but I'm happy to share them.

Okay, so apparently I do 2 photo layouts more than I realized, lol! HTH at least a little!

I agree :-)

At the beginning of the year I did not scrapped as much yet and hold my whole ideas firmly by Templates. Also some 2-photo-templates (converted also into 12x12 in the meantime*g*) are under that

Great inspiration! 2-photo layouts are the hardest for me too, especially when the 2 photos don't go in the same direction. In addition to scraplifts and templates, I sometimes use frame clusters for these.

Here's one of mine, based on a LO by Jamie Warren (paper2digi challenge)

Everything else in my SSD gallery has 1 or 3+ photos, LOL. I'm curious now--I'll have to go check my bigger gallery to see if I have any other 2-photo LOs posted.

Even number photo layouts are difficult for a reason. One of the first lessons you learn about design is the rule of 3s. Odd numbers are just more pleasing to the eye. The trick to even number layouts is to add an element or journal block or patterned paper to "trick" your eye into seeing an odd-number of interest items. OR to group them together so that your brain only sees one interest area. I am definitely NOT an expert at this, but I have quite a few 2 photo layouts.

I know that rule and try to keep it in mind when scrapping, but for me it's not even numbers that are hard so much as it is the #2. I can scrap a 4 or 6 photo LO much more easily than a 2-photo LO. Maybe it's because there are more grouping possibilities with larger even numbers.

I think there is definitely something to two photos being the hardest to scrap. Other even numbers you have more to play around with and bend that rule of 3s somewhat, if that makes any sense.

Looking through my gallery here I see I have only one layout where I've used 2 photos, and I cheated and repeated one as a blend for the background!
