Is your apartment flooding? on fire? Is gas leaking? No?! Then why the heck are you knocking on my door at 12:30 am to pick up your dang package?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? :cursing: :cursing: :cursing: :cursing: :cursing: :mad:

One of our tenants heard our TV from outside and seriously thought it was okay to knock on our door after midnight because she figured we were awake. She wanted to get a package the UPS man dropped off. Seriously. What is wrong with some people?!?! :glare:
 
Ick! Im sorry honey, its amazing how ignorant people can be! I hope you get some rest and it doesnt happen again!
 
I live by the "I only open my door if I actually WANT to see you" rule. Believe me, at 12:30 am, I definitely do NOT want to see you. Hope you told her to come back during normal business hours!
 
My goodness! I would have been worried about a murderer standing at my door after midnight! What did she say when you opened it? Some people are so crazy....
 
Who the heck cares if your TV was on... for all she knows you need your TV to sleep! I woulda' told her to come back in the morning. UGH!
 
People really have some nerve!! I can't believe anyone would even dream of knocking on someone else's door at 12:30 just to get a package!! Grrrrr!!
 
Last year or the year before on Christmas Eve I think we had some lady come to the door banging on it at like 2 in the morning. We had no idea who she was and she wouldnt answer when we said who is it so my husband answered the door but he put our gun on the table next to the door. For all we knew she could be a murderer or something or had someone hiding off to the side and trying to make things look ok because it was a woman at the door. It turns out she wanted to use the phone to call somebody and said it was an emergency. He felt bad for her and allowed her to call outside and I heard what she was saying...she called someone to bring her some more beer!! Yea Id say that is an emergency....NOT!! We had never met this woman before but she said that our house was hte only one on the block that still had lights on. She did it again like 2 months later and I told her that she would not use our phone again and never to knock on our door again. I was so angry. I mean if it was really an emergency I would get over being woken up but this so obviously was not an emergency. Some people are just stupid like that I guess. Sorry that happened to you
 
How rude! If I were you I would post a sign with "Normal Business Hours" on your door and a number to call for EMERGENCIES ONLY after those normal hours. And in the fine print I would state exactly what the accepted emergencies would be...

Some people are so stupid.

Or you could go knock on her door early this morning, wake her up, and say you wanted to let her know she had a package at your house. When she tells you that she got it from you last night you can tell her that you didn't remember because you were ASLEEP!!!

Yeah, I try not to answer the door after business hours... but since it was such an odd hour DH figured it had to be an emergency... because NO ONE does that! lol... and don't worry, we have a peep hole. We wouldn't open the door for just anyone. And DH was very irritated with her firmly told her that next time she needs to wait until morning.

And sometimes the TV does get left on. It happens. She's lucky we were actually awake because if she'd woken us up, I would've drop kicked her butt to San Francisco! lol

Yeah, me thinks we need to send out a letter asking people to honor business hours and I like Kat's idea (both sound great!) ;) .
