Who shoots guns off at 6:00 in the morning?!?!?!

Apparently people that live close to us!!! We live right on the very edge of town out in the country and well, I guess Monday morning seems like a good time for some of the country folk to have some kind of shooting session or practice?? They're far enough away that I can't see them, but it sure stinks that we're close enough to hear everything and it stinks that they've been doing this since before 6AM!!!!! Sheesh!! Some peeps!! :blink:
 
How rude!! I think people that mow their lawn too early aren't being very considerate. I can't imagine waking up to gunfire!
 
Oh how frustrating!! I live right next to Quantico where the military practices and I often wake up to the house shaking when they let off the bombs so I definitely understand how annoying that can be!! Hope they don't do it too often!!
 
Oh my gosh!! I think I can handle gunfire over bombs any day!!! That would be horrible!!

I'm sure there were plenty of people around here annoyed this morning considering it's a holiday!!
 
6am? No way. I can barely stumble around the house that early much less safely shoot a gun. Must be some hard core hunters (without wives to set them straight) or something :blink: I think noise of any kind should be outlawed before 10am.
 
September 1st marks the beginning of Dove season and the best time for hunting is right at dawn. Crazy huh?!! It didn't wake me up this morning, but I could hear the shots when I got up.

I was gonna say today is the beginning of dove season. I heard some shooting too but thankfully it was way off and muffled. DH is upset he's missing it this year b/c they always have a big baiting/shooting day on his daddy's land. I'm glad we don't have to go this year b/c I always get stuck in the house with his redneck cousins we only see once a year lol
 
Aha!! My inlaws mentioned that it's the beginning of dove season too, so that has to be it. Sheesh!! Talk about getting an early start!!
 
Oh, wow. How rude! What is wrong with people? It's a holiday! People are sleeping...geez, go shoot somewhere else.
 
You guys can give Ash a hard time about it when she checks in. She got up with the guys to take photos of the whole dove hunting thing and is all excited about cooking those little birdies up. I don't necessarily have an issue with hunting, but it is so foreign to my suburban upbringing. And then don't even get me started on the cleaning/cooking of the birds...I'm just so grossed out by that I can't even think straight.

people hunt doves? lol... 6am is insane, I would be uber cranky (and scared.. guns here well.. it's not the same :D :D )
 
:thumbup: so i guess you don't want to see my 200 dove hunting pictures i took this morning....i can't WAIT to scrap them!

ps..sorry you got woke up...if it is ANY consolation...9 years ago today i also got woke up and called to my then boyfriend's {now dh} house only to have him propose to me before he left for the hunt...oh yes..eat your heart out girlies..i even got my ring in a shotgun shell box...if that aint love..i am not sure what is LOL!

ps....i got peppered this morning during the hunt..not so great...and to top it off..i am pretty sure it was my husband that did it :)

ps...maybe if you go outside and talk to them..they would give you some dove to cook..they are EXCELLENT with jalapenos and bacon! :) have a fab day!
 
lol..it was...you JUST have to know him...he is a country bumpkin...just as country as cowpatties...Sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo...it was SOO fitting :) and being the sweet guy that he is and knowing hte picture freak that i am..he had his best friend stationed here to talk pictures of the whole thing..they are AMAZING..my most treasured possession :)
 
bwahahaha...that would be awesome if i did huh..nope they are just in an album..SOMEDAY they will be though :) haha....i have big plans... haha... :)
