So my wedding anniversary is actually the sixth but you get a babysitter when ya can LOL So we decided to take my mom up on her offer for this weekend and she got us a hotel room at the casino here. I live like 10 minutes away from Mohegan sun in connecticut. Anyhow we stayed over night and ate at this VERY fancy resteraunt (total accident LOL) We thought it was gonna be a burger kinda place and turned out to be the no price on the menu kinda place LOL. But it was delicious. Then we went to a bakery there and got cheesecake and rootbeer for dessert! We did a little bit of gambling on the slot machine and actually won enough to cover our meal and dessert and then some. Nothing fancy but it was fun! The room was GORGEOUS, I wish I woulda brought my camera and the view was breathtaking and no kids ALL night! Thought I would gush because we havent really ever gotten to do anything like that. I will admit even being away one night I missed you girls though LOL!

Just thought I would share my fab night! It was totally a dream!
 
that is awesome!! I'm so glad you got to go have some 'couple' time w/o kids! I am desperate to do this, but no one wants to have all 3 of my brats all at once, lol.
i've never gambled. i'm kinda afraid. DH would probably bet our house or something, lol.
 
Sarah, I am so glad for you. I know how hard it can be to get away. Andy and I went to one of the casinos, I reaaly can't remember which, and I hit $120 on the slots. We only brought $40 and we were on our last quarter. I know when luck is on my side. We cashed out and went grocery shopping in Lisbon on the ride home. Happy anniversary (early)!
 
Happy Anniversary Sarah! That's awesome that you had a great time...I live about an hour and a half from Mohegan, and usually go there once or twice a year...I really like the shops there, lol. I have never stayed there though. I have stayed at Foxwoods, and that is SUPER nice too.
 
Thank you girlys! We were well overdue. Noah is 22 months and that was my first night ever away from him. I was kinda nervous but mom said he was best outta the three LOL. I told Wes we should try to make it a yearly thing. My mom has comp there though so the room was free for her so I dont know if we could afford to stay there without that. I will say I felt totally out of place at the restertaunt though. The steak was divine but OMG LOL When I saw no prices I was like holy crap I know how to pick them huh LOL
 
That sounds wonderful! I'm so glad that you were able to get away! It's nice being a mom, but OH SO NICE to get away once in a while too!

we're doing the same thing on the 13th for our anniv... at a casino/hotel here. :)

Wow sounds like a blast Sarah! I'm glad you had a good time.

We actually went out to dinner for our anniversary last night too (it was Friday and I was away) and I tried to pick an expensive restaurant but when I looked at the menu online it had nothing I would even order so we went to a place where we could eat outside because that's my favorite thing to do in the summer. I had a great key lime martini! And while it wasn't a night away we didn't have kids either! ;)

I only live about 2 hours from either Foxwoods or Mohegan Sun and have never been to either place. Congrats on winning and covering your dinner! Happy Anniversary!
