Do you rotate your kiddo's toys?

I started doing this a while back. This morning I pulled out a bunch of little people toys DS hadn't seen in about 6 months and he has played with them for a solid 3 hours. It's been nice to have him entertained lol

I don't normally, but I probably should, or else throw it all away, because they have too much. They have a big playroom, but if I were short on space I would rotate them.

We do the same thing, and it's like they're brand new all over again. We have some toys that just stay put away and we only take out occasionally. They're a special treat.

My girls don't need toys since they got play doh for their bday! LOL. Seriously, it's all they want to do.
I actually don't rotate tho. They don't have too many toys, but I do pull stuff out at least twice a year(before christmas and bday) to get rid of toys they've grown out of and toys they've broken/lost pieces to.

I do, my boys are so young still that if I store something away for a few months and take it back out they totally forgot they used to play with it! It's a beautiful thing LOL

Some things we rotate, mostly my little girl (3) likes art supplies....she could draw and colour all day! Those materials are always available.

Only if by "rotate" you mean "throw away often". :p

Although, when I do the cleaning, and actually put all the parts of things together in one location, they DO play with them. When they're scattered all over the house, not so much.

I don't have an official rotation but we have some things we store in the garage that we bring in every few months and it always gives us a couple weeks of solid play.

yes we do, it's the best thing. The toys I put away I also go through and get rid of anything that is broken or wasn't played with.

Yes I do. I have a rubbermaid crate that I keep full of toys not being used. I swap it out every couple weeks and its like getting new toys - my 2 year old is occupied all day.

I rotate their toys. I move things between storage bins, the toy shelves in the playroom/guestroom and the toy bins in the family room. The family room gets use dthe most. Things there that aren't getting much play move to the playroom. Things there that don't get much play get moved to to storage. If they don't hold interest after a few days when they come out of the storage bin after a few months, they get tossed

I should, but I always fall victim to "out of sight, out of mind." The few times I've put things away to rotate later I end up forgetting about them until the kids are too old to care about them. It helps that my 4 year old is soooo imaginative. He almost never complains of being bored and keeps my 2 year old entertained as well. I'd probably get serious about rotating toys if that wasn't the case.
