Gimme some good ones to fill my time..they can be adult or YA but the sexual tension in Twilight was a little too much sugar for me, I don't mind getting to the point or some cuss words as evidenced by my current love, Mary Janice Davidson's Undead and Unwed series...smutty romance with vampires thrown in, woot! hahahaha

So i need a good series (I SEE the outlander thread, it's on my list :) ) of good books. I like scifi/fantasy with romance :)

I was thinking about picking those up but I may need an MJ break after I finish the last two of the Betsy series..

Cassandra Clare's The Mortal Instruments series (City of Bones, City of Ashes & then Gity of Glass comes out 3/09) - only read the first one so far but it was really good, waiting on the 2nd one from the library

JR Ward's Black Dagger Brotherhood series (6 books) - I've only read the first one and it was really good so I'm on the wait list for the rest of them

PC Cast/Kristin Cast 's House of Night series (4 books) - I just got the first one (Marked) yesterday but haven't started it yet

Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark Hunter series - there's a bunch of books in this one, I'm almost done with the first book and it's very good!

Gena Showalter's Lords of the Underworld series (4 books)
Jeaniene Frost's Night Huntress series (3 books)
(these are on my to be read list but I've heard they're good)

I am really enjoying the Jessica Darling series by Megan McCafferty (Sloppy Firsts...Second Helpings...), and there are the Gossip Girl series and Travelling Pants series which I want to read. Umm...I know there are so many more, but I can't think of them off the top of my head, lol!

I love Sue Grafton's A is for Alibi, B is for Burglar, etc series. They're a quick read, a fun little mystery, and the main character is super fun.

have you read any gregory maguire the author of wicked? he has like 5 or 6 books, i think (haven't read em all). so, there's wicked, son of a witch, mirror mirror, confessions of an ugly stepsister and a couple others. i've only read wicked and son of a witch, but they are clever books that i really enjoyed!

I just read the new Betsy book and it's really different than the other ones. Also, the mermaid ones are really different than the Betsy books. I actually think I like the mermaid ones better, although I do enjoy the Betsy ones.

Have you read Charlaine Harris? That's the series that the new HBO show is based on.

Lauren Willig has a fun series. The first is the Affair of the Pink Carnation. there are 4 books all together. It moves from modern day London back to Regency England & France as the modern day heroine researches the Regency era heroine. There's a romance in both times and spies & nefarious dealings in the past.

I've been reading the "Women's Murder Club" series by James Patterson. He's the guy who wrote "Kiss the Girls" and "Along Came a Spider". I like crime stories and these are pretty good. There are 7 so far.

I liked hte book Dangerous Angels. It is the Weetzie Bat series. It is a little weird but pretty good despite the weird parts. It was written by Francesca Lia Block. I also like the Red is for Rememberance series (there are 4 that I know of...blue, red, white and silver) They are by Laurie Stolarz. Not vampire books but the second series one is supernatural related
