LOL, you'd think that if my mom taught my how to bake (and she did, and she's a dannnng good baker) that I'd have some skills, right? WRONG.
I just well-browned the biscuits I was making with Natalie. They aren't quite burned, but I know they're going to be hockey pucks. They didn't rise at all, lol...and I had a little one that we rolled into a ball (leftover dough) and they don't taste right. It's pretty hard to screw up Bisquick mix!
With the listeria scare up here, I can't allow Mason to have lunch/deli meats, so I made up some egg salad for sandwiches today. Yeah, um. The first 6 eggs I did pretty OK with, mixed it up and it was too runny (as in, would just fall out of the sandwich, lol) so I boiled 2 more eggs to add to it. TOTALLY forgot about them and overboiled them...the yolks didn't even want to mix in, haha. Nasty. But anyway, that's what he got to eat today. I hope he doesn't throw away his sandwich, lmao!
Now I know why I rarely cook or bake. I tried out for the spot of domestic goddess the last couple days and failed.
