Ok girls, who's trying to lose weight. I know I am.

Down 31 pounds since having Cooper, I still need to lose at least 25 more, 35 more would be amazing. 20 of those aren't even from Cooper.

Lets keep each other motivated, shall we.

All kidding aside...
How are you losing your weight ladies?
Every time I time I try to lose weight I seem to gain 10 pounds.:cursing:
I am short of patience and about to cut my stomach off with a butcher knife. Any suggestions? I have thought of surgery(yes I qualify) but am scared to go under the knife. Have tried WW TWICE. Last time I gained 10 pounds.

To be honest I lost the first 20 pounds from Breastfeeding, the last 11 have been slow, Weight Watchers, althought, not super serious, I get on and off track alot and I was working out 5 days a week, nothing major either, just riding a stationary bike 45 minutes a day. I'll go back to that when my wrist gets better from my surgery.

the husband left :D :D .. lol jk.

Honestly, by saying enough is enough and kicking my ass. I started REALLY paying attention to what I was eating-- I was totally effing up my body not eating enough of the right things. I upped my proteins (to where they should have been in the first place LOL) and just started working out more.. and really having a positive focused mentality. I don't have a lot of food problems, like I don't eat junk food, or snacks, or soda etc.. it was just a matter of focusing and really figuring out what my body needed to be HEALTHY and sticking to it. GL you CAN do it.. my biggest issue now is the whole it's going slow crap.. LOL. I lose motivation like every other week.. but it's just a matter of sticking to it and knowing this is what I NEED.

Maybe we should have an accountability thread... weigh ins, make sure we post when we've exercised, post our weekly food logs...

South Beach is the only thing that ever worked for me, and honestly, it worked (in the opposite way, I was supposed to gain weight when I was pregnant) when I had the GD with Phin... so I know that carbs and sugar are definitely my worst enemy.

It really doesn't help when your DH brings home cookie or brownie mix EVERY time he goes to the store, either.

Well done ladies, you look fab!
OK, so i'm more than embarrased to post these pics but here goes.......

http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i292/emilyhowarduk/fat.jpg

The first pic was in 2005 for a photoshoot (which was embarassing coz i hate pics of myself) and a huge diet, another baby and lots of running later....... i'd lost 4 stone (56lbs)....... i actually lost weight while pg (weirdly enough) and recently done a 10k run so it holds it off. I dont actually eat rubbish anymore........ well, only at certain times of the month lol

So lots of exercise ladies and eat healthy..............fad diets do not work!!!

If my dh brought home cookie or brownie mix EVERY time he went to the store, we might have one box. :p

Here's a link to the progress pics I have posted on my blog. I've actually gained a bit back since the last pic there but am getting back on track and will hopefully lose the last 40 lbs by Spring.

I am only down 25 pounds. I have 20 more to go to be pre-pregnancy which is sad cause my kid is almost 2 and I am only at right now what I was right after having him. I put on 25 pounds while breastfeeding, what the heck happened to breastfeeding helping? I also want to lose another 10 pounds beyond pre-pregnancy.

Anyway, I do LA Weight Loss and I run a mile a day.

I don't think you can see a big difference in these pictures, but all well.

You can see mine in my face the most I think. I've lost 25 lbs. since right after my son was born last September. To be fair, the first pic was when I was 40 weeks pg with him, so the loss is greater than 25 lbs. between these two pics but you get the idea.

All you ladies look great. I also had a baby at the end of Feb. (the 28th) I gained 20 lbs while pg with him. I have lost that 20 plus an additional 25. I have a long ways to go though as I was "fluffy" before I got pg anyway. I account all of my weight loss so far to breastfeeding. Now that I am done with that - I really have to watch my calorie intake but I love food way too much!!

Well, here's me before:

http://photos-ak.sparkpeople.com/9/2/l924465963.jpg

and me down 20 lbs at the beginning of July

http://photos-ak.sparkpeople.com/1/8/l182368301.jpg

I still have another 40 to go but I've been holding stationary at -20, i guess that's better than gaining right?

We do clean eating (which is no refined sugar and no man-made stuff) but I've been getting off track with that (and feeling like garbage) and I don't have a workout partner :(

scrapperjade
09-04-2008, 06:18 PM
Traci are you doing the clean eating by Tosca Reno? I'm doing that one... I've lost 8 lbs in 3 weeks just by cutting out crap! Woot!

YAY! I love seeing everyones great progress :)

I'm super proud of what I've done so far this year - I always told myself after I had my last baby that I would really buckle down and loose that baby weight finally!

So 2 months postpartum after baby number 4, I joined Weight Watchers online, and I also started the Couch to 5 K running program. And I've lost almost 30 pounds in a little over 4 months.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v517/slclingerman/weightloss.jpg

Basically what I'm doing is eating better and eating WAY LESS, and I'm exercising ABOUT 3 times a week (jogging/walking for 30 mins)

I'm now pretty much at my goal weight (although we'll just see what happens... now that I've stopped nursing my body is settling some and I'm not sure what size the non-preggers, non-postpartum, non-nursing me is supposed to be!)

and YES there are tags on my shirt, I took this picture yesterday to show my internet wife La the great clearance top I got at target :)

I've ALWAYS been the same way, it is soooo frustrating! Most people are melting away the pounds into breast milk, and I like pack it on!
