Who wants to see my wrist?

I had a big cyst in the joint and it was starting to hurt. I'd had it for like 4 years, but it never bothered me until recently.

I hope it gets better soon too. :)

I have that..... uh oh! I think it's called a ganglion cyst?? It's pretty big.... and painful. I thought they could drain them?

Yeah, thats what they are. You can have them drained, the doctor told me it hurts like hell and that there is a 60% chance that they can come back compared to a 5% chance if you have them removed. So, I went with the removal.

Is it on your writing hand? That's what sucks about mine is that I'm right handed and it was on my right hand, so I have to wear this splint for two weeks and then one I can take off for a week.

Its hard to do anything, like pick up the baby and stuff like that, the pain isn't that bad as long as I take my meds and don't bump it, but I just use it more than I should.

Yup, it's on my right wrist. I just got a Wacom tablet and it puts less strain on my wrist than my mouse did.... but I go to school and take notes and it hurts like heck! I don't think it will calm down on its own while I'm in school. Ugh. You'll have to let me know how your wrist feels once it heals! It'd probably be worth it to me to get this thing removed between semesters.
Oh, and my cyst is exactly where your incision was.

That sucks, I'll let you know, just if you decide to have it removed, I guess its pretty much like having a cast on. I can't get it wet, DH has to wash my hair. LOL!

Its just a big ol' pain.

Hope you are healing up okay! When I had my surgery (carpal tunnel release on my right hand) I had the stupid cast on for something like 10-14 days. I hated it!! That was seriously the worst part about it. I couldn't even drive because I couldn't buckle my seatbelt. I did however scrap left handed. LOL In fact that was back when I was in a digiscrap contest. I always tell myself that I would have won if I had been able to compete right handed. :p (Alright, I'm kidding, I could never beat Kate Hadfield!)

Ouch, looks like it must hurt! I've had a cyst for about 15 years...had it drained twice...it always comes back. :( Luckily it's on my left hand and it kind of comes and goes. No fun when it's here, though.

Hope you heal quickly! :)

YEOUCH Vanessa! I hope that it continues to heal well for you! I can't imagine not scrapping... are you sure you can't do it with your left hand? LOL!

Oh and I have to say I LOVE your new blog design!!!
