Mozy ? - my computer turned off!

So I was doing my initial backup, which will take months, and I was at 2.8% when my computer froze. So I had to restart my computer. When my computer came on, Mozy showed that I had 0% backed up! So off it started again, and now I'm at 1.6%. I'd love to think that my computer won't have any problems, but really it isn't likely that I'm going to keep my computer running for months solid. This can't be right! What went wrong and how do I prevent this from happening again?

hmmm thats really weird, I have had mine shut off on me before while uploading to mozy and it has always counted. Maybe go into mozy and see if anything is shown as being backed up yet? Usually every time you start mozy it starts at 0% again and keeps going

Yep, that's totally normal, Julie. Even though it starts at 0%, the other stuff you backed up is still there. That's just saying that 0% of the stuff LEFT to backup is what's done. Not 0% of your total files (does that even make sense)?

I turned my computer off a LOT when I did my initial back-ups, so I'm 100% positive that your other stuff is still there.

It just starts again at 0%, whatever you did already should be there.

My computer apparently now cannot connect to their servers, so I'm really ticked off, I had over 100 GB done. :cursing:

I went through that same little state of panic the first time that happened too, LOL!! Seems like it will take forever!! I checked on Mozy and it did have my files on there!!

oh yay! I was so worried! How do I check on the files to see what it is done backing up?
