making sparkly eyes

anyone any ideas what to do, im ok with the blue eyes i can pretty much get them to stand out and sparkle using the unsharpen mask and hue/sat but brown eyes are really giving me a headache. i did both of these of my kids. ds has blue so they came out how i wanted them too, but dd has brown so they dont look like i did anything, i couldnt alter hue/sat anymore without making them look red.

my ps didnt agree with my laptop so i cant use it. im using psp x2 and i dont think there is anyway to get actions to work with it.

i just looked at the link and wow thats eye pop looks good! damn my lappy now!
 
Oooh that's a bummer!! I'm not sure I'd know what to do without actions. I'd have to actually learn how to do it myself! LOL
 
I use a combination of curves dodge and sharpen.... but there is a VERY fine line between natural and zombie eyes, so you have to be careful. Yours look really nice.

You may be able to find a PSP script that is similar to the action that Julie mentioned.
 
Try dodging the irises using both highlights and midtones -- the highlights helps enhance the catchlights; the midtones with lighten the browns (sometimes just on the iris below the pupil looks good) and makes it look like there's more light on the eye. Don't go too crazy with the whites of the eyes or it gets weird. :D
