DH has decided he's "not crazy" about the name Tessa!! :cursing: I don't know why he's changed his mind but it looks like we may be back to square one with names which is SO frustrating b/c I have NOTHING..NADA...NO IDEAS whatsoever. UGH.

LMBO-MEN!
I remember what a huge ordeal naming Landen was...do you know that for about 3weeks I wouldn't speak to him at all because he wanted to name our sweet little Landen HECTOR...like I would ever consider that...COME ON...

My sister is 38 weeks and her DH just decided he didn't like the name Liliana... so now they're naming her Brooklynn and I just HATE it. (And I bought a bunch of personalized crap for LILIANA, which she has been since my sister found out she was having a girl)

Awww...One of my Zak's best friends is Brooklyn...I tend to call her Brookee..they started daycare on the same day and remain close friends...Once Zak told me in front of her...stop calling her Brookee and she said, She can call me what she wants...Zakeeeeee...LOL
I like Brooklyn.

Oh no!! Isn't that how it always works. LOL We wanted to name youngest Bethany until I was about 38 weeks, then we decided on Rebekah. LOL

Well, maybe he'll change his mind again? If you really love Tessa (which I totally do) then stand firm! Lol!

awww man I love the name Tessa

and Bryn..that's a bummer b/c I LOVE the name Lilianna

Teaghan was Giulianna until DH and I decided we didn't like it haha It happens I guess...

well boo on him! Does he like Rylie (that was the middle name right?!) Maybe you can just switch and have it Rylie Tessa? Or just overrule him altogether lol

Ugh...that sucks!!!!! I have to confess that I was the name changer with both of my kids though, lol! I changed JP's middle name on the way to the hospital (from Paul to Philip...thank goodness too, since we'd already decided to call him JP, lol!) I changed D's from Aren to Devin after the ultrasound telling us he was definitely a he.

DH tried to do that with me about DD's name. I just stuck to my guns and used the name over and over and he learned to love it! ;) Good luck...the name thing can be so frustrating!

Who picked the name Avery? If it was your DH, then you should be able to name this one Tessa. ;)

With Mason, I honestly didn't like the name "Mason" all that much lol, but it was the only one that DH liked and went well with the middle name we'd picked out (Joel, after DH's brother who only lived for a little less than 2 days). For the first few months of his life, he was "buddy" or "boober" or some other pet name...I could NOT call him Mason, even though he was registered. But I actually like it now, lol...it's perfect for him. :D

And with Natalie, I'd picked out her middle name (Lynne, which is my middle name, which is half of my mom's middle name, so it's being passed down the line, lol)...but we honestly could NOT find a first name for her until right before she was born...we were watching TV and "Natalie" came up in the credits...as soon as I saw it I knew it was the name. DH wasn't sold on it at first, but I overruled him, and it totally suits her.

I plan on using such logic against Jordan when we start having kids, LOL! I have my girls name picked out already (Ella May, may is a passed down family middle name) but he hates it. But he doesn't want to know the sex and I do. So I plan on playing the old "I won't find out the sex as long as if it's a girl she's named Ella May" card. Otherwise I'm making the dr tell me boy or girl. I totally can't deal with not knowing. Besides, he's screwing me with the last name "Swerbinsky", the least he can do is let me name the girl :p

Oh that stinks Nikki!

I changed my oldest son's name 2 weeks before he was born. He was going to be Noah (which I still love, but it just wasn't right). Wesley is so perfect for him anyway. With my second, we stumbled on Nathan very early on and it just fit, so that was easy.

Now my third, I had his name all picked out from the get-go. He was going to be Eli and my DH just detested it. I pushed and pushed and nope... didn't work. So I stumbled on Logan while watching Gilmore Girls (love that show) and it just really grew on me.

Now I've joked with DH that if we would have a FOURTH boy, I don't care what he says, I'm picking the name! LOL!

Awww, I'm sorry Nikki! That totally stinks! DH and I couldn't agree on a name either. He wanted Joshua and I hated it but finally caved like Bree and also like Bree I love the name now and it so fits him!

Col I am rolling over your logic!

Oh no!!!! That's not cool!!! Hubby's can be so difficult when it comes to names. :( I think Tess is darling!! I hope that he at least offers up more suggestions!

Nikki this one is easy. Just make it sound like you are flexible and then don't be.

"Ok dear, let's just stick with Tessa for now, but if you can think of another name we both like better we can go with that."

Odds are he won't think of anything else, but if he does just, say "Nah, I don't like that any better. Let me know if you have any other ideas." You can wear him down without even having a fight :) Worked for me anyway.

Ummm....best idea ever! LOL!

Hey, you still gotta while before she gets here. Tessa could grow on him. It's such a beautiful name.

lol I'll have to try this lol

No - he doesn't have any suggestions nor has he even tried to think of any...he just thinks he has veto power on any and all names I come up with. I sorta just feel like I should have ALL rights to naming this child b/c after all I am doing this pretty much alone lol. He doesn't see it that way. Avery's full name is Brian Avery..so he's NAMED for DH I think I should at least get to pick this one.

My DH did that with our 3rd... he had NO suggestions but hated all of mine. That just infuriated me to no end! I felt like I was exhausting myself to find names I liked, just so he could say "no, no, no!" Ugh!!! Hopefully Tessa will grow on him because I think it's great!

Man oh Man....this happened with me too...I tried for the name Ian with both of my older boys but DH said NO WAY JOSE!!!!! When I found out I was having twins I told him that one of them was gonna be Ian and he all the rights to name the other one.....did not go that way either but I have to fully admit that Tyler does NOT look like an Ian at all so I am happy with my name choice there!!! We had their middle names picked out about a month after we found out and went from there.....

I REALLY like Misty's idea...it is freaking genius. Anyway, good luck and I hope he changes his mind because it is a BEAUTIFUL name.

Good luck. I think I'd just keep calling her Tessa and see if he gets used to it, hee hee. (I agree that Misty's idea is perfect, though.)

Misty's idea is a great one!! Although I did tell Jeff that I was pushing the child out, I was naming it and when he figured out how to get pregnant and push out a kid then he could name it whatever he wanted. LOL

Definitely go with Misty's suggestion! Tessa is a BEAUTIFUL name!

DH wanted to name DS2 (Rhett) Jeffrey Kenneth after his father and mine. I told him there was no way I could yell all that plus our last name. Besides, it just doesn't sound right. Rhett William suits him. He's a little spoiled like Rhett Butler was... LOL!
