Coffee

A most important discussion. :p What kind of coffee do you keep around your house? Those of you lucky enough to have a Starbucks that you go to every day, I don't wanna hear about it because I'm jealous. The closest one to me is an hour away HMPH.
Folgers, store brand, what's your choice?
I like the med-dark Columbian blend Maxwell House. Sipping on it now. Yep, I got up late. Hubby took dd to school today and i slept in ;)

My favorite of all time is Kauai Coffee from Hawaii's smallest island.
When I can't have that, I settle for Kona coffee (from one of the other hawaiian islands, lol) which is available in bulk at BJ's.

And if that fails, Dunkin Donuts. I treated myself to that this morning and got a hazelnut and a flatbread breakfast sandwich (only 300 calories!).

i'm so not picky when it comes to coffee. i really like it all. i mean even though i'm on a starbuck strike, i'll even drink theirs. you can totally make your own starbucks at home...do you like hot or cold coffee? or both?

I drink Maxwell (regular w/ caffiene) and Nabob decaf (swiss water... no chemicals!). I can't do Starbucks coffee or any specialty coffee shops... they brew it too strong for me!

Right now I have a bunch of Gloria Jean's Black Gold Extra Bold (something like that) and Timothy's Decaf Colombian. We have a Keurig coffee maker, which is totally awesome.

coffee is yucky! we're surrounded by coffee shoppes here though. there's a really good one right around the corner (well, according to hubby... who is crazy enough to drink the yucky stuff :p).

I love coffee and I need coffe in the morning!

sadly we have no Starbucks here in our one-horse town :cursing: LOOL
I'm jealous too

For everyday I just bought some Folgers Mountain Roast (it's not as strong), but brand doesn't really matter, I didn't drink much coffee until lately when my neighbor would come over and visit me in the morning and we'd have coffee.

For special occasions we use coffee that my sister has brought up from the Dominican Republic when she comes home - SUCH good coffee...mmmm. I've got regular coffee and some chocolate flavored stuff. We only use it once in a while because we don't have a LOT of it, lol. I've had coffee from all sorts of places down in the Carribean - every time DH's family goes on a trip, they bring us back local coffee.

Funny story about coffee...my MIL loves to travel and she also really likes coffee. And she's a bit of a nutjob, but that's another story. Anyway...she was on a cruise in the Bahamas and the waiter brought her a cup of coffee. She tasted it and thought it was THE best coffee she'd ever tasted, so she said to the waiter "this is REALLY good coffee...is it Bahamian coffee?" to which the waiter replied "no, ma'am...it's just regular Columbia brand coffee". Hahahha. She was like RAVING about this coffee that we can get up here, lol. Made me laugh, anyway. :p

We usually drink Yuban. However, Costco has a brand that we like but for the life of me I cannot remember the name of it.

Once in a blue moon we go to Starbucks or Dutch Bros.

I love my coffee hot but if I have to drink it cold I want a Caramel Frappuccino with extra caramel and whipped cream.

I've been informed I am a coffee snob. Uh, yeah, and?? (I do live in the Seattle area - perhaps by definition that makes me a coffee snob).

I avoid Starbucks as much as possible. Too acidic for my taste, same as Peet's, though great places to meet and chat, KWIM? Top 5 (and all of these I pick up in the grocery):

1. Tully's (very smooth, rich, not bitter)
2. Cafe Dilletante (don't even get me started on their ephmere mochas)
3. Caffe Appassionato (sp?)
4. Seattle's Best Coffee
5. Starbucks

rarely drink it at home (could be cause I broke my coffee pot and haven't bothered to buy a new one ... will be this weekend though. lol). When I do, it's a light roast usually, I don't do strong powerful coffee.
If I am out and about, I will hit up a Tim Horton's if there is one around, and get either an Iced Cap (made with chocolate milk, not white milk) or an English Toffee Cappucino (hot). I also have been downing those Kona Mocha Frappe iced coffees that I make at home, thanks to my grandparents picking up the mix from Costco for me. (well, I was til I broke the coffee pot anyways. lol)

Usually though, my caffeine choice is Diet Pepsi.

We alternate between buying Pete's coffee, Starbucks and if we are trying to keep it cheap Eight O Clock bean.

I buy:

Green Mountain - Island Coconut is my fav but it's seasonal
Dunkin Donuts French Vanilla only
New England Brand - Blueberry is our fav

We only drink flavored coffee in our house tho so that may not help you at all!

Usually Folgers Half-Caf, but I load it with a ton of vanilla caramel creamer. Pretty good! We have a good local coffee shop, but you have to go in...then we have a drive through one that I use occasionally, but it's not as good. Closest Starbucks is about 45 minutes away. :(

Dunkin Doughnuts brand or Starbucks, whichever is on sale at the grocery store. I think I might like the DD better (shh).

Uuhhh you would torture me with this coffee thread when I am craving it like you wouldn't believe. I am a MAJOR coffee addict and since I had to stop caffeine I miss it SOO much. Don't talk to me about decaf...that's a dirty word in my book lol...

I drink Maxwell House normally but I LOVE Duncan Donuts and buy it when it's on sale. French Vanilla Creamer added :)

I normally use Starbucks ground coffee (I have a friend that works at one, so he gets a pound a week for free). But if not that, then I like Folgers French Roast.

I am head over heels for Starbucks French Roast. We get ours at Costco. Much cheaper that way. If I want to drink coffee in the evening, I drink starbucks Verona decaf. I have a grinder so I grind it myself. If I want an iced Hazelnut Latte, I make it myself with my own Barista machine I bought at Starbucks in 2004. It has more than paid for itself. Love my coffee.

OR

when I can't get my precious Peruvian blend. You can buy their Sumatra in 2lb bags at Costco (at least around here), which is decent enough in a pinch, but leads me to believe that they'll soon be going the way of Starbucks, i.e. downhill, and I'll have to find me a new, somewhat readily available yummy coffee to drink at home.

I like my coffee strong, yet smooth. Starbucks is vile, poorly roasted, overly acidic swill. I swear they and Tim Horton's put crack into their blends to addict people into thinking they're actually enjoying their crap.

There was a time when Starbucks was a decent cup of coffee, back when they were a little start-up company and there was one, yep, count 'em, ONE Starbucks in all of Vancouver and the surrounding area, and people were like, Hey, have you tried that new place on Robson?... Starbucks?... (yes, I'm old, and remember these by-gone days) Then one morning you wake up and you can't swing a cat without hitting a Starbucks, and they're the freaking MacDonalds of coffee houses.

Lion's coffee, also from a Hawaii Maui I think. My mom sends me a pound a month :), she lives in Kona. If I am not drinking that its Duncan dounuts.

Folgers. Here in Kokomo, we have a Starbucks (first one built in a non-metropolitan area) now they have just finished another one here, a little ways down the road! why we need two, i don't know. i never go there. when we were living in Silver Spring/D.C. we went occasionally. its good, i just don't go, lol. i have no one to go with!

We're caffeine infused by Starbucks and nothin' but! LOL

We usually buy a pound of Kenyan coffee, but we really liked that Kopelani blend that they had during the summer.

Neither DH or I drink coffee, but we keep a little jar of Maxwell House "Light" in the house for his mom. It's half-caf in coffee talk.
