ok...as some of you may know, I am in the Navy {and if you didn't, you know now }...well I have been in since Jan 1991 {I know LOOONG time} and I have never been "deployed" or on a ship {just kinda worked out that way}...so now with everything going like it is overseas, I will be deploying sometime in December to EMF Kuwait...it is a fairly safe facility and it is pretty much like a hospital and that is where I will be working...I knew my time was coming {since I have avoided it for over 17 years} and I will take it in stride..my husband is OK with it and the kids seem to be ok as well...the 2 littler ones won't really know until after I am gone...I can take my laptop and camera so I hope to be able to share with you guys along the way...I will be back home sometime in June or July so it will be just in time for me to be able to take the kids on a trip...I am planning on doing another Disney vacation and planning it as a surprise, so it will be a nice break when I get home for us and them!!!! well...now that you know the news, I will keep you up to date...you will just need to keep my DH in your prayers because he will be left alone with 4 kids!!!!

I pray everything goes great for you and dh survives with 4 kids! Maybe they won't have him tied up when you get home ;) cause that is so what mine would probably do. The 2 oldest anyway! And a very special THANKS to you for serving our country

I'm sorry you have to leave your family but THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH for serving our Country!!!

I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers! Stay safe!!!

I have to say THANK YOU too. :) I am so sorry that you will have to leave though. :( I will definitely keep you guys all in my thoughts and prayers! Good luck sweetie!

Oh, wow, Angie, that is big news! I guess it was bound to happen, but I'm sure that doesn't make it any easier. I hope you're able to keep in regular touch with your family, most importantly, and us (so you can get your SSD fix!) and that your deployment is over quickly and safely!

Thank you so much for serving our country!! You rock!

I hope you stay safe and your husband doesn't go criminally insane (I would!)!

oh wow! I also would like to take the time to say Thanks!!! I wish all the best for you and that you make a safe return home!! Sending many P&PT to you and your family!

((hugs)) Angie!! I didn't know you were in the Navy! I will certainly be thinking about you! My dad was in the Navy. I lived in Bremerton from 1983-1995! :) I wonder if we ever crossed paths?

Oh my, I hope that your deployment goes smoothly and that you stay very safe, I also hope, that your husband does great with the 4 kids...
Thank You for serving our Country.... :)

I will say an extra prayer for you and your family as I do for ALL our troops. Please be safe, keep your head down and your prayers up.

wow, angie!! i'm sure everything will be fine and semi-intact when you get home ()!! you'll have to keep us posted!! best wished to you and your family! :)

Good luck! I have been wondering when my time is coming, too, 10 years and only been sent for 2 short, short deployments CONUS and that was 7 years ago (right before and right after 9/11). I have a friend in Kuwait right now, though its just a stop over before Iraq.
