mini avocados.

Wouldn't a single-serving, personal size avocado be a wonderful thing? I can't eat a whole one. And no matter what I do, once I cut one it just goes yucky if not eaten/used right away.

Do they exist and I've just never seen them?

I've seen tiny tomatoes (cherry, grape), baby watermelons, baby bananas, baby corn, even baby Haagen Daz and Ben and Jerry's.

I want a baby avocado!
 
If I want to eat half I cut it in half leaving the skin on and separate it. Then the part I put away is the side with the pit left in it. I wrap it really tight in saran wrap and put it in a plastic baggie.
When I go to eat the other half the next day I slice a thin layer off if it got a little brownish...
 
Yup, we have them here. I haven't tried them. Joel brought me one home the other day, and I was like, "that is NOT what an avacado is supposed to look like" and refused to eat it. I'll try it sometime and let you know if this is something you want to look into importing. :)
 
We have mini avocados here too...
Maybe we just export the big ones and keep the minis... LOL

What you can do is eat half and them make guacamole with the other half

LOL - the boys and I can blow through 3 in a sitting...we need bigger and CHEAPER ones.


The first time I went to visit Russ and meet his family in FL, I bought an avacado to bring home with me that was the size of a small watermelon. They grow'em big there. I got to the airport, and they woudn't let me bring it home :( I'd forgotten about taking produce across state lines. I was so disappointed. It was the biggest avacado I'd ever seen. *sigh* LOLOL

We just get the tiny California Haas avacados here, and while any avacado is good, they're just so small.
 
Oh man - one of our favorite quick snacks is a bit of avacado spread over a flour tortilla, sprinkled with a tad of kosher salt or ground sea salt, rolled up and munched! It's a great after school snack for us!

We also eat it diced up in salads all the time! Avacados are full of fat, but it's the GOOD fat LOLOL and it's got lots of other good-for-you junk in 'em!
 
I think I've seen little teensy avacadoes...but I just eat the whole thing...

Perhaps that is why I had to start a thread about my son saying I had a fat booty?
 
I am deprived then if mini avocados do exist. Maybe I need to try a different store . . .

Wow, Darcy, I cannot imagine watermelon-sized avocado!

Jessica, I don't eat just avocado. I usually put it into a sandwich.

Who knows who Angie Dickinson is? LOL.
 
how can you not eat a whole avocado? I can eat 2 just by myself!! A little salt and lemon and its the greatest thing in the world
 
i completely agree with you mimi! it's just silly that they haven't been created. i mean...lets do this already!
